An RE Friday with @Nate Chu C&C for a Saturday morning with this Sir Winston from 03. Today is going to be great if this cigar is anything to judge it by. What a super smooth star

First cigar of the year.

Nice coffee mug.

Thanks. I think it’s pretty funky. There was a post in the Coffee Mug thread and showed a cool mug made by Scargo Pottery in Cape Cod. While we were up there earlier this summer we went to Scargo and picked up a few things.

Started my round with a 2017 San Juan and it was blander than bland...so I chucked it to a friend sans cigar in the group behind me and he was grateful...

Then I switched to an old standby which was delightful...2017 Connie A

I feel the same way about San Juan’s  and Connie As.

I find 1 in about 10 San Juans are compelling....the rest are bland. All the Connie A are consistently terrific.

Wife and baby out of town = double corona time. 2016 VR Don Alejandro, first from the box, absolutely superb.  Very complex, these are going to be off the chart with some more time. A little difficulty keeping it lit in the final 1/3 but I live in FL and the humidity is roughly 200%.  2+ hours smoke time, the dog was not entertained.

I know that these didn't sell well but Habanophiles should mourn the loss of this cigar.  Wonderful in every way.

That's the first picture I've seen of this cigar where I can actually see it taper down.

This Party E2 EOT DIC 2016 is starting to shape up quite nicely after some down time. Enjoying it with some Drambui (I know, please don't judge me too harshly. emoji16.png) b2d66b427a8551b7bd80e7c11648adf6.jpg

When Drambuie is involved I go with a Rusty Nail. In any case it looks like a great way to cap off the evening.

Cheers!
