Nightmares.

I don't normally dream about the forum, but last nights was a doozy. 

 

Di and I were off to Lang Park Stadium to watch the State of Origin. (Rugby League game). Di was driving, and left me in a storeyed car park, while she tried to find a park. Somehow I was smoking a Punch Punch and was only wearing undies.  Ray Sacks (PigFish) walked through the car park fire door! What a surprise! He was there to watch the game and asked to look at my cigar. He took it in his hand and tasted the ash before handing it back and saying "the 2002 were far better".  All of a sudden, Kurt (Chuck08), Charles (Chas Alpha), Mike (Mikeandana), Peter (Drguano), and Ken were all there on level 4 of the concrete carpark, smoking cigars.... waiting for Di. I still had no pants. I assumed Charles, Mike and Peter came to watch a winning team. 

Something scuttled behind us but it was shadowed. Ken threw a massive fit, arms flying everywhere, because it just came over the radio that hotdogs at the stadium were $8.50. 

More scuttling but both Ray and I saw it this time. As suspected, it was 2 foot high alien rat that was smoking one of our cigars. 

Ray said he would take care of it and reached for his concealed shotgun.  Good work, Australian Border Force 

Ken is screaming at Ray about having a gun. Mike is trying to calm things down. Alien Rat jumps onto Kens face.  I tell Ray to take the shot. 

 

I woke up and told Di.  3:30am.

They say 3am is prime time for demons/spirits that inhabit your house to have a little fun and torment your mind/body/spirit while you are sound asleep. Who knows?

This is already one of the best threads ever. At least it was a Punch Punch, and technically that still qualifies it as a dream and not a nightmare.

Still laughing at this. Just fantastic. When I worked in a big advertising agency full of creative types on edge, I became the self proclaimed dream whisperer. Workmates would come to me for my take on what their dream meant. Ha ha! Lots of fun. Would of loved analysing this one. Who or what is the rat? Why do you feel exposed? Are the levels of the car park what you've built or battles you've fought like Bruce Lee in Way of the Dragon? Ha ha! Overthinking isn't always beneficial. Was fun though, having people hanging on my every word as though I was the great prophet. Thanks for sharing. I think someone should put your dream into AI and see what image comes out. Would be fantastic. Make it into merch. Ha ha!

My humble psychoanalysis: The presence of Peter, Mike and I represents your personal shame that although you share our grief for another pathetic performance by the Vikings, secretly you relish in the defeat. I’ve never had a Montecristo A, and it seems less likely that I ever will.

Ray’s tasting of the ash would represent the launch of the Nudies. Scary prospect given the stakes.

The giant alien rat isn’t much of a puzzle. Always protective of our family. The rat also represents the state of our world. Fake cigars, stolen election nonsense and of course the Minnesota Vikings defense. The rat stealing one of our cigars is disjointed harmony. More on the Vikings late game defense later.

The gun. Pressure. Always pressure.

I had a dream recently that was pleasant but that most people in my life would be horrified by. I dreamt I hit the “Prominentes” rank on FOH, and for doing so was feted on the forum, sent cigars, and received a congratulatory call from @Bijan. Irony is I couldn’t care less about the whole ranking thing. Cigars of course are another matter!

I told my closest friend whose immediate reply was, “You need help.”
