Popular Post El Presidente Posted September 23, 2022 Popular Post Posted September 23, 2022 Weekend is here! Big one this weekend. Into the office/warehouse to prep the old boat for sale so that we can make room for a new one. Gym workout. Haircut. Home. AFL (Aussie Rules) Grand Final on today as well as the NRL (Rugby League) preliminary final. They will be two cracking games. Putting on the Pork Collar Butt for soft tortilla tacos later in the day as we watch the football with good wine/cigars/snacks. Swing the big TV in the entertainment area....turn up the sound, lpour the drink and light the cigar. I have a yankering for a HDM Rio Seco and BBF. Tomorrow is the last sunday of the month long slow lunch at Moda. It is greek month which is one of my favourite themes. Slow food done well. Will post pics. What are you up to this weekend? Whatever it is, make sure it is a bloody cracker! 12
Popular Post riderpride Posted September 24, 2022 Popular Post Posted September 24, 2022 First weekend home in weeks after some business travel. 🛫 I'm on-call this weekend so I'm just a spectator. Daughter has a showjumping comp - her first since the barn was quarantined for the strangles several months ago. Son has a soccer tourney tomorrow, so plenty to watch. Cheers! 5
Popular Post Ford2112 Posted September 24, 2022 Popular Post Posted September 24, 2022 Fishing. Cigars. BBQ. Cigars. Live music. Cigars. Lunch with the family. Laundry and a cigar. 13
Popular Post Bijan Posted September 24, 2022 Popular Post Posted September 24, 2022 I'm headed to England on Sunday for a one week vacation. Edit: at the airport 15
Popular Post JohnS Posted September 24, 2022 Popular Post Posted September 24, 2022 Catching up with some of my wife's cousins in Athens, Greece this weekend. Smoking the last few cigars I have left on this trip before returning to Australia soon. Spending time with my cousin (who is my namesake...very Greek!) and enjoying fine restaurants! 👍 14

Popular Post SigmundChurchill Posted September 24, 2022 Popular Post Posted September 24, 2022 It's my daughter's bat mitzvah today, so that is taking up pretty much my whole weekend. Since this is our last one of 3, my wife is going a little bit overboard. I have to preface that by saying that all bar/bat mitzvahs in the suburbs of NYC are a little bit overboard, but my wife is going a little bit overboard even by those standards. If there was an equivalent for the word "Bridezilla" for a bat mitzvah mother, that would be my wife. The sushi chef at our club "isn't creative enough", so we brought in a sushi chef from a popular restaurant, just for the sushi portion of the appetizer segment of the cocktail hour, along with 30 other types of appetizers. We don't have a photo booth, we have an entire room being built in the ballroom with computer generated graphics on the walls and floor with her name on it, and a separate photographer just to take pictures of people in the room. A giant video screen, like you would see in Times Square. And I don't know what a virtual roller coaster is, but it cant be a good idea paired with an open bar. Anyway, that's my weekend. Who needs a Ferrari when you can throw a party for a bunch of 13 year olds for 4 hours?🤪 Here’s some pics of the event last night. 21 4
Popular Post Fugu Posted September 24, 2022 Popular Post Posted September 24, 2022 I should be sitting at my desk.... just to find myself on the patio right now on this calm and overcast Saturday, browsing the forum, enjoying a Sidamo and a Conservas and takin‘ things easy. Procrastination at it’s best 😄 13
Popular Post Jackdani7401 Posted September 24, 2022 Popular Post Posted September 24, 2022 Current view from our balcony overlooking Table Rock Lake. Babymoon with the wife, about 5 weeks before our first is expected. Good news is she likes to sleep in and this is my view with a coffee and PC. 15

You don't take a bunch of pictures of it and then push it off a cliff.😂 1 8

Doing tacos later with the brisket. Getting over a bit of a cold but I may do the stupid thing and light up a cigar anyway as I have the place to myself for the next couple of hours and it just seems right. 10

Just saw Seinfeld episode recently where she gives Lippmans son Boggle for his bar mitzvah! He was not happy with it! 3
