I voted but I might phrase it a tad differently 😉.  In essence, Cuba's inability (for a plethora of reasons) to produce enough cigars and an increased demand from Asia would be my best guess.  A perfect storm when you add in Tabacuba incompetence...

Looks like stock is back to March levels pretty much everywhere so not sure I agree with the premise. 

It's pretty clear HSA and retailers have been holding back stock until last week so clearly it's somewhat of a plan. Whether I'd call it a "master plan" is highly debatable. But it's virtually certain there's a component of incompetence to the plan. 

It doesn't appear that distributors were or are holding anything back although anything's possible.
