Close call between 19 Reyes and 19 D6. Both outstanding but giving slight edge to Trini.

Took one of my first Hoyo DCs from the cab of 50 Diana very generously sent me 😀. It was a beautiful day and the wrapper was literally shimmering…

I initially named it the Cream Queen but then hastily changed it to the Cream King - felt less inappropriate 😂

What a stick! I remember thinking that a great day looks like:

Hoyo DC for breakfast
Ramon Allones Gigantes for lunch
Partagas Lusitania for dinner

April was a busy month and didn't smoke a whole lot, but hands down this OGA SEP 11 LGC MdO no2. Just absolutely stunning.

Punch DC 2013, outstanding. I have some Esplendidos from the same year great cigar, but if I had to choose between the two, punch hands down.

For me that same cigar was a close second when trying to pick one. Really, it was a toss up.

Good to see some big cigars pulling through. For me a 2014 PSP R&J Churchill. Medium bodied soft luscious smoke aged to perfection . Just gorgeous.

I think I mentioned it the other day but I got a 6er the second time you put them up. I wasn't blown away. Tasted like "generic Connie" to me. And they were all overfilled and plugged but the PerfecDraw took care of it. 

This one I got from El Faro. They only had one box and it was for singles. Didn't check the code but I'm sure it was recent. At $8 what the hell. It was terrific. Like a richer, fuller Connie 1. If they all smoked like that I would prefer it over the 1, especially at $220/box. And I do love the Bohemios vitola. 

So yes, it was a one-off, but I'll be grabbing at least a few more singles when I'm back in June and if comparable I will be loading up. Only $1 more than the 1? Yes please. I saw plenty there, although the strangest thing was shops either seemed to have the 1 or the 2 but not both. Same with the Punch La Isla and SC La Cabana. Shops had tons of one but not both. Stock was all over the place. 

FYI, I saw no Connie B anywhere.

qdo senadores: it might’ve been the psychological effect of having a boring one six months ago and this one smoking like a dream. Or it just could’ve been that good. I’ve enjoyed it nonetheless

MC Double Edmundo, ULE MAY 15. All of these have been good, this one was firing all cylinders.

Sancho Panza Belicoso (RAT NOV 2021) smoked 6 out of this box of 25 and all were 96 a real "wingdinger".  My cigar of the year so far for 2022

This one's easy.  Winterish weather continued here as April temps were the 2nd lowest in recorded history.  A long weekend on a Florida beach was just what the doctor ordered.  In addition, the few 2017 CoRos I have remaining are smoking an absolute dream.  I broke one out on the balcony of our hotel room on one beautiful morning with coffee before heading for the beach for a longish walk.  This cigar experience was pretty special. 10/10
