Unfortunately nothing really changes on the weekends here at the veteran's home except some staff are off, and the weekend crew for nursing takes over.

Other than that, same as any other day

Only thing else different is I try to spice things up a little with either an extra Cigar Saturday and Sunday, or just the usual 2, but better ones than usual

College Football, Baseball, NFL and cigars. May not leave the house!

Throw in a pool table, charcoal grill with some two-thumb thick ribeyes, and a keg of Coors Banquet and a bottle of single malt/single barrel and you have the PERFECT weekend!

I'll be watching football, doing some house stuff, and hopefully enjoying a few cigars. Supposed to heat up again (humidity coming back) so who knows...

Domestic duties tomorrow + work + Tomahawk steaks and cigars as we watch the Wallabies take on South Africa in the Rugby.  Ouch.

Are those Parma wallabies or Bennett wallabies? The Parma tend to be a bit high strung for a rugby match. Kinda like Posh from the Spice Girls...

Here in the states, a six day workweek is somewhat normal. Sunday is cigar/rum, fillet on the grill and Vikings/Bengals at 13:00. Bucks game last night was great! 😀

We've got a patch of good weather after a wet summer so...
JJ Fox yesterday (very nice Fundadores) as I was up in London;
paddleboarding with some Scout leaders and helpers today;
tomorrow it's back to London to see my first gig since March last year - Dark Sky Burial's first ever show (side project of Shane Embury from Napalm Death);
plus open water swimming every day at some point as it's my new fitness addition and there's a good lake near where I now live.

I was on an excursion to the oldest Russian sparkling wine factory Abrau-Durso, where several technologies have been preserved. Some of the bottles are turned over manually during fermentation, as was done in the 19th century according to French technology (an analogue of champagne). There is also a Soviet accelerated mass fermentation technology, when sparkling wine matures in large barrels in 25 days.

Beautiful place and region, wish it was a bit closer for me to visit !

Reminds me of a visit to the Codorniu cellars in northern Spain. The Champagne region of France is only 3 hrs driving from me and I enjoy a visit there once in a while.

Was interested in seeing more of Abrau-Durso but your link was flagged by the AV in my PC so I googled and found another link and a nice video on YT :
