50/50 this week is about two of the great cuisines in the world...

You know the drill: read the question, vote on the poll, elaborate in the thread if you so desire. Voting participants go into the draw for an El Pres sampler! - Drawn next Wednesday (Aus local time). :spotlight:

All about 50/50...

50/50 is a weekly poll where we find out whether or not some serious bones of contention questions can be finally be buried or will instead remain above ground as a fleshy 50/50 debate... you know, such weighty issues as these...

If given no other option:

do you prefer Hunnicutt or Trapper in M*A*S*H?

Connery or Moore as Bond?

Apple or PC?

Smooth or Crunchy peanut butter?

do you prefer wearing men's or women's underwear?

 Sacrificing chickens or virgins?

...that sort of standard fare.

Vote in the poll and further bolster your standpoint in the thread below if you wish. Poll Votes are public and there's a couple of sticks up for grabs for participants.

Also, PM me Polls that you'd like me to conduct on 50/50 and there'll be a prize for those we decide to use.

I eat Italian 10-15 times for each Mexican visit.

pretty difficult choice.  However, I'm biased towards Mexican. Sayonara, pasta.

Mexican food is one of the most favored foods around the world. It has one of the most complex uses of spice mixtures next to Indian food. They also have very unique seafood dishes that are out of this world. That being said, and as an east coaster, life just isnt right without pizza or calzones. Italian it is.

the depth and breadth of mexican cuisine is relatively unknown outside of mexico and small parts of neighboring countries. moles from oaxaca, sinaloan seafood, chilango street food, real baja fish tacos, on and on...

that said, real italian is rare as well, and little is more interesting than venetian fare, still, this one is easy for me.

I do love really good authentic Mexican food but...  C'mon.

Pasta is life.

Went paleo for awhile, pizza and pasta were my most used cheat meals. Cave men only ate the way they did because they didn't have pizza yet. That's not living that's existing and a sad existence at that.

Love Mexican, but as an Italian, I'm too emotionally attached to the food I grew up with.  So, adios Mexican!

This is just unfair!  I cook both regularly and religiously at home.  Much of my garden is geared towards these 2 cuisines.

I chose Mexican because it's much more versatile and varied, especially once you get into provincial variations and the ability to fuse it with and into other recipes.  Chili?  Why not molé chili?  Mexican pizza?  Dzik pasta?  The million billion iterations of nachos and bean dips.

Still a tough call.
