I am flying in there on the 25th of Feb and leave on the 3rd of March. I am staying at a hotel in Knightsbridge. I am planning on seeing all the cigar shops there. Pretty excited as this is my first time in London! Are there any cigar events on? If any of you guys would like to meet please let me know! Jjfox have some events, not sure how the dates coincide. Boisdales in Canary wharf have a nice indoor sampling room where you can get drink as well as an outdoor terrace. I thought I was going to have a bit of a lonely time in London since I am going there by myself. The overwhelming response from Foh members wanting to meet up is awesome. Smoked a custom roll Queen Robustos and had a good chat with Angela who works there. I then caught up with Martin (@Tino ) at the Admiral Codrington for some beers. Martin was very generous and gave me a Cohiba Siglo VI (BTO DIC 12). Fantastic cigar which still has more in it for aging. Thank you Martin! I then popped into St James and Visited Davidoff. I met Edward Sahakian. We had a great chat. He even gave me tips on the best method for polishing shoes ? PSA: I told Edward that my partner loves the Davidoff Long Panatela. Edward informed me that currently it is almost impossible for him to get any long panatelas. He believes that they are either discontinued or production numbers are Decreasing. My condolences to @baragh That same evening I attended a QdO 54 tasting at Bentleys Oyster Bar. Thank you @stephan for inviting me along! The food was great and the rum was amazing. The QdO 54....still needs to warm up to me. I enjoyed the 1st Third but then had combustion issues after the halfway point. I also met Dan from H&F. Shortly after that Stephan took me to his Gentleman's club - The Savile Club. It was an amazing experience and I really enjoyed sitting and chatting with a lot of great individuals from all walks of life. It is a very convivial club! Today I visited Fox and enjoyed a Dumas in their smoking lounge. Great cigar. Keen to grab a box if I can. Had a good chat with George Frakes - one of the staff at the store. We lamented the news about Dunhill not making pipe tobacco anymore. Very unfortunate. I also checked out the Fox store at Harrods. It is a nice little store with the cutting edge Airkel system (developed by Gerard in geneva). Smoked a RyJ Petit Julieta and had a coffee. The lounge is very nice. You don't feel the air moving through the space. But all smoke is quickly extracted via the ceiling, whilst new air is pushed through the floor. Very cool.
