I've had this cheap Mantello Catador triple jet for 2 years and used daily and been very happy with it. Dropped several times with no serious injuries. Needs an occasional compressed air blowout and butane squirt but after that it's back to normal for at least 6 weeks.

Good retractable punch cutter and easy flame adjustment knob. Tank is OK but could be larger.

I'll second the Vertigo. I bring it as my cheap "backup" lighter in case one of my expensive ones runs out of gas. My favorite thing about it is the clear tank. No guessing when its about to stop working, it also has a pretty large capacity, a single tank lasts me a few months.

My vote for a nearly indestructible torch lighter for under $50 goes to the Blazer CG-001

Mine even went through the washer and dryer and still works like a champ.

Comes in multiple colors, doesn’t have the asinine child safety lockout of their PB207 and has a nice, large tank and fuel window.

+1 on the cheap-o Eagles BBS linked to.  You get FIVE for $8.47.  They last longer than any $75-$100 Colibri or Xikar or every other overpriced piece of junk I've ever bought.  Generally last 2-3 years for me before they gunk up a bit, then I just throw 'em out instead of bothering to clean them.

The best part is I never worry about TSA taking my lighters, or friends forgetting to return them, or whatever.  Two bucks!  Who cares.

I second this ^^

I've got them strategically stashed all over and its all I ever use.

I used to get these for under $2 and would buy them 10 or 20 at a time. Take them on a trip empty, fill it up there and then just leave it with someone so I didn’t have to bring it back filled.  Work great.

Local cigar shop recommended vertigo as cheap and most sold one for him.  Has worked well, although I often use matches.

I'll second the second. Cheap and reliable.

$4 at Dollar General. Unbelievably good & reliable torch lighter with a large butane reservoir.

Amazon has 3 Vertigos w/ a can of fuel for $22.63

Those are the ones I have been using for about 6 months.  Under $10 each and so far, no issues.

IMO, triple torches are way overkill to light a cigar - you end up burning the crap out of them, especially when trying to touch up.

Need to pick myself up a vertigo after reading all the recommendations. Never owned a triple flame.
