El Presidente Posted September 2, 2018 Posted September 2, 2018 Nominate your Cigar of August 2018 The one that put a smile on your face that just wouldn't go away......the one that when you close your eyes....you can still taste
Guest Nekhyludov Posted September 2, 2018 Posted September 2, 2018 For me, it was the BMP JUN 16 VRDA. They're really coming into their own.
JohnS Posted September 2, 2018 Posted September 2, 2018 A NNSO-TTH-02 (November 1990) Sancho Panza Sanchos graciously gifted by @ayepatz. Just behind would have been a NNSL-VC-1 (November 1995) Montecristo No.4 gifted by @IanMcLean68, a USU-VC-2 (June 1998) Sancho Panza Molinos gifted by @ayepatz and a RAE Jul 2015 Ramon Allones Club Allones gifted by @golfdude888. 2
PrairieSmoke Posted September 2, 2018 Posted September 2, 2018 RAG NOV 17 Vigias. Already so good. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
oliverdst Posted September 3, 2018 Posted September 3, 2018 It was not a cigar but the last third of a cigar Monte Edmundo 2015. I dont know box code as it was a gift. The last third was as sweet as sugar. The first puff in the last third I had to look on the table because I thought I had had a sweet beverage or any kind of dessert and had forgotten. No drinks. No desserts. So I drank a glass of water and puffed again. Again sugar. Magical. 1

Hey @JohnS, I'm beginning to think you don't smoke any of your own cigars! 1 1
havanaclub Posted September 3, 2018 Posted September 3, 2018 This is tough, I had a few really great cigars in August. Would have to give the nod to a recent run of the Cohiba Esplendidos MSA NOV 17 from the 15 pack cartons Rob was selling. I cannot wait to see how they will be in 3-5 years if they are already this good. A close second was a 1970s RYJ Celestiales finos. I did a review on this one. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 1
dicko Posted September 3, 2018 Posted September 3, 2018 Last night I had a brilliant Partagas 898 during a mini herf with Mus and Steve. Great cigar every puff.Sent from my SM-G965F using Tapatalk 1
Wilzc Posted September 3, 2018 Posted September 3, 2018 This is probably the best smoke of 2018 so far Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Ericbrobes Posted September 3, 2018 Posted September 3, 2018 I had an absolutely delightful RYJ Churchill. Actually thinking about it, I had 2 that were out of this world.
Islandboy Posted September 3, 2018 Posted September 3, 2018 Had my first HU #2’s, from recent production. Can’t really pinpoint exactly what I’m tasting, but I absolutely love it.
Bartolomeo Posted September 3, 2018 Posted September 3, 2018 Majuestosos...very, very good Partagas P2...these have made a great comeback in past 6 months Talisman...continue to like these a year after release, which is rare for me liking LE this long
BeerPimp Posted September 3, 2018 Posted September 3, 2018 Since it was the only CC I smoked this year it would be a Hoyo de Monterrey Epicure Epsecial. But in the next couple days when it quits raining I will try the H Upmann Conne 1 and Monte #2 then report back.

So what you're really saying is that you'd like me to reach into your magic travel humidor, next time we catch up, and pull out my cigar of September? You know, so don't feel left out. Furthermore, I bet on this wet and miserable Sydney day you are bored, aren't you?

I know Jase pulled out a Bolivar the other night (what the hell was a Boli doing in there, I'll never know). What did "you-know-who" take? And surprisingly, no. I am actually busy this wet Sydney day.

CrisCris Posted September 3, 2018 Posted September 3, 2018 It was definitely a Bolivar RC that put a smile on my face. Not sure the box code b/c was part of a sampler but fairly certain it was 2016 production. Smoke was so lush and flavorful.
luv2fly Posted September 3, 2018 Posted September 3, 2018 The Connie A I smoked on Saturday. No pic. It was from 2015 and was the best cigar I have had!!! (So far)
Akela3rd Posted September 3, 2018 Posted September 3, 2018 Sancho Panza Molinos CBR AVO 02, courtesy of @thedame007 Absolutely beautiful, perfect construction, silky, mild yet complex, constantly changing undercurrents - and the cigar wasn't bad either! I'll get me coat... Sent from my ActionMan walkie-talkie 1 1
garbandz Posted September 3, 2018 Posted September 3, 2018 December 2001 Camacho Corojo. Among the first cigars released by Camacho. Young, these would knock you down. 2010 they were better, but still rowdy. Now,just right, rich and full flavored, but no longer rough, and very fragrant. 2
