Some i Have tried many I have not. A big thank you to @ChanceSchmerr for putting this on and also allowing me to back out in July and jump back in on the tail end. Popular Post ChanceSchmerr Posted November 25, 2017 Author Popular Post Share Posted November 25, 2017 Well everyone, after 149 Days and over 20761 Miles travelled, the FOH CAN/US Box Pass 2017 has arrived back where it started, at Casa del Schmerr. It's been a long road indeed! I'd like to thank everyone for participating! I hope everyone enjoyed the pass, and especially hope that everyone found some cigars in the pass that they have been looking to try. This edition of the FOH Box Pass has gone very smoothly, I think we had a great crew and I couldn't have asked for better interactions with all of you. Most of all - I need to thank you all for your exceptional generosity. We started this pass with a varied selection of 36 cigars....but the box that returned had grown to over 2 1/2 times larger. The Box Pass contained 57 Pass cigars on arrival.....plus 24 additional cigars that many members had added as gifts - 81 cigars in all . I can't tell you how grateful I am for all these extra cigars - you've all been very kind to add these in, and I thank each and every one of you for these gifts. These gifts were not necessary - You guys are awesome!!!! Some Pictures of the return... The Box on Arrival - Massive is an understatement! Our dogs were also curious of the contents! 4 Tupperware containers with a separate box to boot. @Tave1225 was generous enough to donate an entire box of ERDM Choix Supreme to the members of the pass. 6 cigars are left from the box - I will be generous with these to ensure I follow the spirit of the box pass! Here's the cigar contents at the end. The Double Banders The Current Release cigars Discontinued cigars LE's RE's And these are the gift cigars. Again - thanks again for this generosity everyone! The Box Pass Journal was well-used as well - thanks to everyone for keeping the tradition going! Here's some of the more interesting pages.... Thanks @CanuckSARTech ...... Boopdeep and Newkarian's messages reminds us of the devastation of Hurricane Harvey. I'm very happy they were able to continue with us! I'm kind of treating the Box Pass as one of my last "cigar hurrahs" for a little while, as I'm sure I'll be far too busy to light up for much of next year haha! I'm glad you've all enjoyed the pass. A fair question - only about 8 cigars are new to me from what came in the end - but I'm certainly not fussed at all. I tried my best to make sure that trades were not influenced by what I would otherwise get back - it wouldn't be fair to everyone otherwise, and I certainly had lots of extra cigars coming back regardless! I'm still bowled over by all the fantastic generosity of all participants in the pass. Thank you guys! You and your wife are about to embark upon the hardest and most fulfilling journey, perhaps only topped by watching your kids raise their kids. You will hear this often and will actually understand it in about 5 or 6 years but here it goes... As tough or exhausting as some moments seem, try to take a step back and just appreciate the phase you are in. You can never go back in time and kids grow up fast (it doesn't seem like it when you are knee deep in diapers or middle of the night crying or feel like you lost your social life).
