I find Davidoffs in general to be one of the most overrated NC available for purchase. Yeah, the construction is generally fine, but especially for their cost, they are, IMO, very meh. And for me, this includes the Late Hours. Very 🥱 cigars. Also, smoked this Padrón this evening. The Family Reserve #96 Maduro. Very much like the Black 97, just not as strong. To me Davidoffs are the bar as to what a quality cigar should be. I don't think they're the best at anything, but they do everything very well. The Family Reserve '96 Maduro is my favorite Padron. I've got 2 boxes. There's something very satisfying about a round Padron. 8

Popular Post El Gato Posted September 7 Popular Post Posted September 7 A reliable Quintero Londres Extra. Aromatic and sweet, as usual. Hoyo de Monterrey Coronations. Very fine and subtle, but full of nuances. Ideal for morning coffee. Delicious. 30

Popular Post Fugu Posted September 7 Popular Post Posted September 7 Sunday-morning breakfast cigar, I have been much looking forward to. Young Small Club Corona. Tightly packed, making the wrapper split. But correcting itself and opening up nicely after the first third. Intense and full-flavoured, just how you want it. Pretty strong, too. An hour twenty four minute smoke w/o any relights! 😅 Have a nice Sunday, all! 30

Popular Post Greenhorn2 Posted September 7 Popular Post Posted September 7 It's been hectic around here the last couple of weeks and I haven't had much time to post. Next time you smoke one, please post about it. BTW - do folks around here do things like that? I’m not speaking about trading, I’m speaking about sending cigars to folks out of the blue? I used to be on a cigar forum called Puff and we would send “bombs” to random folks just because. People posted a mailing address on their “about me” section if they wanted to do this…

I just wish they made me excited when I smoked one. Rather, I feel like I wasted money… 15 hours ago, my happy place said: The Family Reserve '96 Maduro is my favorite Padron. I've got 2 boxes. For me, they take away from my experience because inadvertently, I’m always trying to round out their shape with my teeth. I just smoked a 96 Maduro yesterday. I feel like it’s very close to being the same cigar as a Black 97 - equally great, just not as strong. 1
