Popular Post Wookie Posted September 26, 2025 Popular Post Posted September 26, 2025 I had a mountain/ski car I drove 2.5 hours each way for 4 years. Smoked in each direction. The dealership was laughing at me when I traded it in. But they didn't seem to care price-wise. I also never drove wife or kids in that car. 5

How strong is the smell the next day? Does this materially impact resale value (if you even care)? Feels like most people probably don't smoke in their cars, but it's a very logical place to enjoy a cigar. Any tips appreciated. I reckon if you look as good as Eliott you smell even better 🤣 3

Popular Post Lucas Buck Posted September 27, 2025 Popular Post Posted September 27, 2025 4 minutes ago, chasy said: Yes! Please share! Here is my setup - Cupholder ashtray with cover (very important when finished smoking to cover the tray until you can empty it) Plug in ionizer (negative ions) - I run this while smoking and a while after if I can Crack sunroof ideally or alternatively rear window to keep the smoke filtering out while smoking Leather interior helps a lot but not absolutely necessary If at all possible air the car out after smoking Then I run a small battery powered HEPA filter over night The next day if there is any residual odor (usually not) I run an essential oil diffuser with tea tree, eucalyptus, lemongrass & cedar which not only smell nice but also neutralize smoke odor Nuclear option if there is still odor after using this protocol - ozone generator I wouldn’t worry too much about resale value. Cigar smoke is relatively easy to deal with. You would never know I smoke in my car by the next morning. Hope this is helpful! It works very well for me. 11 1

Popular Post Havanaaddict Posted September 27, 2025 Popular Post Posted September 27, 2025 My protocol is, I cracked the driver side window about 2 inches. I keep my cigar in my left hand near the window. I blow each puff out towards the window. I have the left vent aimed towards that cracked window. I have the vents blowing lightly, I make sure that positive air is coming in the car, not recirculating. I toss the cigar but out the window when I’m finished. The last few miles I put all the windows down in the car to air it out. The next day you smell a little residue but within a day or so it’s all gone. 9

Feels like most people probably don't smoke in their cars, but it's a very logical place to enjoy a cigar. Any tips appreciated. I drive with the driver's side window open a few inches so the smoke gets dragged directly out of the car while I am moving. When I get to a red light I open all the windows and sunroof, and close again once I start moving. When I get a block from home, I open all windows and the sunroof to air blow out any smoke that may be sitting in the air, and then I leave the windows and sunroof open in the garage. If I am on a long drive, when I finish the cigar, I leave all windows and sunroof open for as long as I can stand it, driving down the highway to really air out the car. I also leave a few of beanbag-type odor eliminators in the car at all times. And lastly, and this may or may not be controversial, I never ash in the car. Always out the window. And if I am on a long drive, at the end of the cigar, I don't puff, and wait until the cigar is completely out, and then wait a little longer, and then toss the end out the window. My wife, who smells cigar on my clothes from the other side of town, often mentions how amazed she is that my car doesn't smell like smoke. One thing I notice with the Porsche is that sometimes if I have the air conditioning going, then the next time I start up the car, I get a hint of odor coming from the air conditioning. This never happened in the G Wagon. The only explanation I can come up with is that the air filtration systems in some cars are better than others. As far as resale, I haven't had to use them so far, but there are companies that will guarantee to remove any odor. Not cheap, but if I thought it would increase resale value more than the cost, I would just use them. It may also help that I have my car cleaned inside and out on a weekly basis. 10 2
