RASS LAU SEP 16.  My first RASS and it did not disappoint.  I see why it has just a strong following.  In addition to having a tasty raisin/stewed fruit flavor, it had a perfect draw and burn all the way through.   (the white dusting is ash from slipping down into the tray too far, not "plume")

I had the same experience months ago on a clearance box. It changed my humidor space allocation for sure. A half box later and all solid smokes. I haven’t even touched the PSP Cab yet

La Gloria Cubana Medaille d'Or No.4 MSU Jun 2017

I recently picked up another box of these as I very much enjoy their complex flavour and this cigar was the first one I had, 'right-off-the-truck', so-to-speak. In terms of complexity, it didn't let me down.

The first third was effervescent in sweet almond and cream flavours until some wood and herbal flavours kicked in around the beginning of the middle third. At this point I got some white pepper lilting in and out, with some fruit to go with it. In the last third the cigar was dominant in wood mainly.

Overall, I greatly admired the complexity to be found here. The only drawback was the many re-lights I had to do. Whether that was due to the blustery conditions in which I smoked this cigar, or whether it was due to construction, we'll see when I smoke my next one from this box soon.

Have you had an issue bringing CC's in through customs ever? I've brought cigars in a number of times so far but looks like you're down there a lot more than me! What do you do down in La Paz? I'm a big fishermen so I like to get down there for some fishing as often as possible!

Jumped on the Chocolate Bandwagon of these after Rob & Ken's recent review. First stick ever was a VR Famosos and it had a delicious chocolate hit to it. Have loved that ever since. 

Anyhow, this one had a middle third that lived up to the billing but the first and last thirds were underwhelming. A little green and airy in the first third (the draw was on the open side a little too much overall) and that produced a more bitter burnt almond note. 

Middle third settled down nicely and, while still tasting a little immature and on the bitter high cocoa side, the chocolate was upfront and enjoyable. 

Final third just got hot and a bit miserable flavour-wise. 

Overall I think the construction let this cigar down a lot. And I opted for a poor drink pairing - the Moon Dog Cake Hole is a Black Forest Stout, which sounded perfect at the outset, but ultimately proved a more bitter stout, which obviously didn't help things. 

Not going to score this. But I am going to smoke another one soon and try a pairing of the trusty OJ or some 1919 Angostura Rum. Be more interesting to make a comparison between the two than score this as a one-off.

Started off with a LGC no.4 but it tasted like wet dog so pitched it and dug out a Arturo Fuente Spanish Lonsdale that is had in my singles bin for 7/8 years; the cello was yellow!

  My first one and really enjoyed it, buckets of thick smoke. A fruity, buttery leather smoke. Not much evolution but great nonetheless. I was a little concerned about the NC draw so used a small v-cut which helped tighten it up.

Not exactly my thing and a very beaten up wrapper, but quite enjoyable. Mellow as could be and still have definitive flavors; all this sounds like dessert descriptions, but no hint of sweetness or richness: Graham cracker, toasted marshmallow, red licorice, cherry cola. Great cigar for a long morning, would have been pretty eh after steak and taters, esp as I've been staring at this for a month

MOE OCT 14 Fonseca no 1.  Vast majority of this box has had wrapper burn problems a la Edicion Limitadas.  I had this sitting in a drybox for well over a month and lo and behold, it burned a  dream and just kept pummelling me with beautiful marshmallow and flowers (perhaps a little coffee as well).  I'm down to my last 4 (couldn't bear to sell them to some poor unsuspecting soul), so I'm off to throw another in the drybox to be enjoyed Novemberish!

Punch punch REG sept 18. This cigar is doing everything it can to be spectacular, yet multiple leaf knots and a fireproof wrapper is stopping this from being an out of this world flavor bomb. This box has been very hit and miss with construction so far, which sucks as these all could be panty droppers.

MSU SEP 18 Partagas serie P2. I got this box partially because it was my daughters birth month. I had one last night on her first bday. Man it’s been a roller coaster ride. Kudos to you parents with multiple kids and double kudos to those who have twins. I don’t know how you all do it haha. Amazing smoke I look forward to having every bday. 

Today I had a Fonseca No1 from a six pack. New favorite under the radar smoke. Mushroom and sweetness bomb. I’ll be buying a box soon.

RUM MAR 19 Belicoso from a few days ago. This poor thing was pretty haggard looking and I didn’t have much hope for it but ended up smoking great. I was pleasantly surprised.

PSD4 SOM MAR 16. I think I have the hardest time describing the Partagas flavor. I agree with Prez’s description of paprika and others’ suggestion of green pepper, but there is a lot more there. Either way, always one of my favorites. Love the Shorts, too!

Burn and construction was absolutely on point thanks mate
