Had to resort to smoking in the garage on account of the rain but that's alright ill manage. Hope everyone is having a good weekend. Either way, OEP JUL 14 HDM Epicure #2 smoking very nicely paired with a little Lagavulin 16 years.

H Upmann Robusto USE MAY 08. The last from the travel humidor. These have been a very good half dozen cigars - cedar, walnut, touch of cocoa, leather on the retrohale - but despite the rarity value they're there to be smoked and enjoyed. And I obviously still have the beautiful travel humidor to use for years to come. I'd say that if you can still find one, jump on the chance and hang the cost!

Had Montecristo 1935 Dumas from FOH weekday sampler during travelling at Penang. The flavour profile is more powerful and exotic than typical Montecristo cigars which makes it being more unique and special. However, I was a bit annoyed by too many cracks on its wrapper (totally godawful condition ?) that made me had to relight it so many times. Besides, since I was at the Love Lane (pubs, pubs everywhere!!) during that day, the music was too loud and there were too many hookah and cigarette smokes that made me difficult to focus on reviewing this cigar. Will review Leyenda on May for comparison.

Lesson During That Day: Sometimes, it is better to leave the cigar bands until you have to remove them to prevent major wrapper damages.

P.S. I was the only cigar smoker in that area by the way ?...

Cohiba Espléndidos

Again, this cigar has been generously gifted to me by an anonymous benefactor and as it's an Esplendidos I'm again humbled to receive it.

I'm not familiar with the age of the cigar but judging by the older band, the aroma, feel and wrapper quality and shade of the cigar, if I were to compare it to my Esplendidos I'd guess that this was somewhere in the vicinity of 8 to 10 years of age.

It was a tad stronger in strength than I'm used to for an aged Esplendidos, more towards medium-mild. It dominated in mocha coffee core flavours with honey and a smidgen of Cohiba grass/hay. Those stronger flavours masked any citrus, vanilla or butter texture which I found more in abundance in other Esplendidos I've smoked over the years.

I nubbed it to the end because the honey sweetness kept me keenly interested and I remain grateful. After all, it was an Esplendidos.

RyJ Short Churchill.  Inspired by the offering on 24:24.  SMA Jun 17. Great construction and burn and smoking great now. First from the box.

Needed to clean old stock Olivia Série V Belicosa sun grown pretty solid. Coffee , woody, spice and smooth. Medium to full and great draw. Paired with a dry aged NY strip and Ribeye. And of course and axe man. If you don’t know about the axe man do yourself a favor and buy a four pack

5 days ROTT. Awesome smoke. At 24:24 price, just an absolutely incredible value.  Regretting my decision to only get 1/4 and not the 50 cab. 

BRO MAR 18.  6 days ROTT. First from the box. Initially classic RyJ, then harsh for about an inch. Settled into a stronger RyJ than I'm used to. Cherry, Nuts, Strong Espresso, Burnt Carmel - lots of flavors.  Packed a punch too!  Letting the rest sit for 30-60 to see if it mellows out a bit.

That Oliva V Marca is one of my favorite NC smokes. I still have a box from 10+ years ago? should be interesting. Love the Duvel glass!

2424 from a year ago. SIGLO V REG NOV 2017. I’m old school. Love Lanceros. These are what Cohiba supposed to be,,,Leather Earthy goodness. Youthful edge is gone... Is the future bright? No ,,,,because I’m smoking the rest of these right now. Cheers
