The original line really need some time down to shine, and I've found the blend just doesn't work as well in certain vitolas. My favorite is the Fuente Fuente with at least like 2 years on it. I've been through a significant amount of the aged selection between Opus 6 and Opus 22 boxes and almost all have been bangers. And if you haven't tried the Anejo Shark yet, you should. I think that one is my favorite Fuentes. 8

I have seen mixed reviews This is a really good smoke, awesome size, I like these as well as Saunter, which are both by Kyle Gellis. These are the first two boxes of cigars I ever bought, long before I tried a Cuban. Now that I'm essentially "all-in" on Cubans, these don't get much time with me lately but I will keep them, let them rest and I'm sure I'll enjoy them again in the future. On the Cocodrilo, I got a nice orange rind, graham cracker, etc. Worth trying a single for sure, and if you like Gellis, they're great. 1

Cinnamon, black pepper, cedar, and leather out of the gate. Then the pepper backed off and I got a sweet cream undertone. About halfway through nutmeg and vanilla came into play, then a charred wood note in the final third. I didn't get citrus or fruit like others have reported. It's not a sweet cigar, definitively more spices (pepper and baking) with toasted wood. I also have the Toro in my humidor and looking forward to seeing how different it will be. 1

Popular Post loose_axle Posted August 14 Popular Post Posted August 14 Still coming together but still a very good cigar young. Reckon this one has got plenty of aging potential to it and was even getting some stone fruit and melon notes that I get off the SLR DCs. (This is the La Cuna Italian regional). 25 1
Popular Post Fugu Posted August 14 Popular Post Posted August 14 Taking a half-day off for WE-work compensation. Smoking a ‘09 Cazzy as I type this. I haven’t had such a relaxed smoke in a while! Going slow and easy (despite some minor cracks in the wrapper). Cinnamon, orange zest, peanut cookie, aged tobacco. More on the herbal-fruity side than woody-earthy. Somehow tamed, but so fragrant, and a great evolution of flavours. Last time I had one from this box must have been at least two years ago, no change there. Classy smoke! 23 1
