I have had plenty of boxes like that over the years. Not much you can do about it. Tough pill to swallow at current prices.

Min Ron Nee would run water over the top of the cigar foot down for 10 seconds. Let it air dry for half a minute and then just basically peel the cap off and light her up. Should smoke a little slower and less hot. Still rest it longer first.

My first "JFK" cigar today: HUPC (LUB Abr 2014).  

Just a lovely little thing, though in all honesty it could sit for another five years. (What?!?). This had it all, 6/6ths and more,...but wasn't quite singing as I believe it truly truly will do. (The deferred gratification -- or rather the ongoing anticipation -- that's good fun too )
