Smoked this delicious Connie1 over the weekend.

It's been hectic around here the last couple of weeks and I haven't had much time to post. The wife went to the beach (girls trip so I gladly stayed home). It's 61°F, cloudy and breezy here, she's 4 hours away and it's sunny and hot, welcome to North Carolina. A Coloniales this morning GLE MAY 2020. Some others this past week;

PLPC RAT JUN 2020, PLMCLGR OCT 2019 Bolivar RC TUA MAR 2021, VR Famosos BSM FEB 2021(fantastic cigar), A Cohiba Secretos JAN 2018, a Ninfa after changing a wheel cylinder on my dad's ton truck, PLMC RAT JUN 2020, MAG 50 SOU ABR 2020, Reyes TLU MAR 2020, and a SLR Regios  MEP NOV 2020.

SnS? That is awesome to still have them. Next time you smoke one, please post about it. 

BTW - do folks around here do things like that? I’m not speaking about trading, I’m speaking about sending cigars to folks out of the blue? I used to be on a cigar forum called Puff and we would send “bombs” to random folks just because. People posted a mailing address on their “about me” section if they wanted to do this…

Excepting for flavor (of course, very subjective) I agree with you on this. I just wish they made me excited when I smoked one. Rather, I feel like I wasted money…

The Family Reserve '96 Maduro is my favorite Padron. I've got 2 boxes. There's something very satisfying about a round Padron.

Also agree with you here. I have a weird problem with box pressed cigars. For me, they take away from my experience because inadvertently, I’m always trying to round out their shape with my teeth. 
 

I just smoked a 96 Maduro yesterday. I feel like it’s very close to being the same cigar as a Black 97 - equally great, just not as strong.

No roasting from me. I find Davidoffs in general to be one of the most overrated NC available for purchase. Yeah, the construction is generally fine, but especially for their cost, they are, IMO, very meh. And for me, this includes the Late Hours. Very 🥱 cigars.

Also, smoked this Padrón this evening. The Family Reserve #96 Maduro. Very much like the Black 97, just not as strong.

This is a Sancho Panza Gran Quixote 2017. Although it's an absolute wind tunnel I wish everyone could smell the fantastic aromas, and great tastes this smoky beauty is giving off. Like a piece of driftwood made into an incense box. Wow. I had to turn off the music I was playing so I could focus on just being outside enjoying this one. Maybe my favorite cigar of 2025.

A Partagas D4  SOU JUN 2020 this morning that was oily and punching pretty hard. An Esplindidos GEL DIC 2020 that's sweet and grassy. A 95-96 pointer.
