WestCoastSmokin Posted March 23 Posted March 23 Gas average here in San Diego: $5.84 a gallon, so probably really close to $6 a gallon. Diesel is around $6.50-$7.00 a gallon. 1 1

Yes, nationally different units in use for octane numbers, USA mostly based on AON or MON, while Europe and, I think, also Oz are using RON. 2 1
ha_banos Posted March 23 Posted March 23 Just checked 95 RON is 91 octane. Just to have it on the thread. I did wonder how people can get their cars to move with this 87 business... We have this E10 here. E10 petrol contains up to 10% renewable ethanol. Which can dry out and rot older rubber apparently. E5 is 97+ RON, 93+ octane. 1 1
Ford2112 Posted March 23 Posted March 23 I live in foo foo central California. We are getting raped. Upwards of 6 bucks. 1
Vetteman Posted March 23 Posted March 23 On March 6 I filled up at a NJ Costco for $2.80 gal which was $.15 higher than a couple days before when I checked on GasBuddy. Today, GasBuddy shows $3.56 gal at that location.
Mr. DD Posted March 23 Posted March 23 Gas is presently $5.29 for regular (87) at the Costco nearest me (Orange County, SoCal). I also use the Gas Buddy app to find the cheapest gas.

Joeyjojo Posted March 23 Posted March 23 Around £1.45 a liter, so about £6.50 a gallon if my math is correct.
ElLoboLoco Posted March 23 Posted March 23 $3.59 for 87 octane $4.29 for 93 octane I usually fill up at Costco to get that 5% back.

RupertPupkin Posted March 24 Posted March 24 I paid $4.46 with a .30 credit for my supermarket points here in Phoenix, AZ. To make things worse, we had a record heat wave just end. It was 105 degrees Fahrenheit for a few days. March is the earliest ever that we’ve been on record over 100.
Goldeneye Posted March 24 Posted March 24 On the way into the office it was around $1.55 / L and on the way home it was $1.73/L in Canadian dollars. I can see where the stuff is refined from my office so it is kind of perplexing why so much variability. Glad I filled up on the weekend for $1.46 /L
JohnnyO Posted March 24 Posted March 24 Miami: $3.75/gallon 87 octane Orlando: $3.93/gallon 87 octane, Diesel $5.50/gallon April 1: $4.29 for 87 octane $5.89 diesel
