Popular Post El Presidente Posted December 30, 2023 Popular Post Posted December 30, 2023 Your Upcoming New Years Eve Cigar? We leave Hong Kong tomorrow morning and will be celebrating New Years Eve in Patong/Phuket. We have spent New Years here once before and it was .....memorable....... I brought with me a 2015 Sir Winston for New years + one of the Upcoming BR 109's. Both will be smoked on the day....I am just not sure right now in what order. What are your plans? What cigar/cigars are you selecting? 11
Popular Post PartagasIV Posted December 30, 2023 Popular Post Posted December 30, 2023 70's Monte #1 ex Dunhill here, D6 & 1/2 Coronas to appease the rest. Happy New Year to all. 8
Popular Post Chas.Alpha Posted December 30, 2023 Popular Post Posted December 30, 2023 2024 (tomorrow) I’m toasting a 2017 Alex Churchill gifted me by @madandana in Miami a couple of years ago. I’m leaving the new arrivals down for a couple of months to give them their fair shake. Might burn a 2011 VR Alejandro that another mate of mine gave me at the same outing, but the Vikings are on at 8:00 p.m. and I wouldn’t want to ruin the experience…😔 6
targa88 Posted December 30, 2023 Posted December 30, 2023 Sir Winnie 2017 - almost like a yearly tradition ( following the demise of the Monarca) Haven't been to Phuket in over 40 years... I'm sure it has changed a lot = more hustle and bustle and big hotels now.... 4
Popular Post MickVanWinkle Posted December 30, 2023 Popular Post Posted December 30, 2023 Possibly an unpopular take - I typically go with something ultra reliable, but not too special for events and save the special stuff for when the mood strikes. This way there are no expectations. I have a box of 2019 RASS that are smoking beautifully or the last of a fiver of 2020 E2 - will likely pull one of these. 6
Popular Post riderpride Posted December 30, 2023 Popular Post Posted December 30, 2023 Grand Edmundo for me. One of the 2 nights a year that I can truely set aside, so I'll usually go with a special stick. Cheers! 6
Popular Post Bri Fi Posted December 30, 2023 Popular Post Posted December 30, 2023 Either a Siglo 6, SW, or Lusi. 6
Capn_Jackson Posted December 30, 2023 Posted December 30, 2023 Most likely a 2018 Epi2, and maybe a Padrón 1964. 3
Lt4-396 Posted December 30, 2023 Posted December 30, 2023 This has been my routine tor awhile, originally not thoughtout but it just works so well. QDCC for the morning a Choix Supreme for the afternoon and a Punch DC to close the night. Good food, drinks and company throughout. Will probably throw one or two Nudies in there somewhere. Maybe one of the new releases or the trusty and consistent Carlotta. 4
BrightonCorgi Posted December 30, 2023 Posted December 30, 2023 I doubt either of us will even stay up till midnight. We try to drink a wine where the last number is in line with the new year. The only thing I can think of easily in the cellar are 1994 vintage ports. We just drank a '94 Vesuvio a few weeks ago. I am sure I must have something beyond port that end's in a 4. That and some Champagne. As for cigar, not sure. 1
jazzboypro Posted December 30, 2023 Posted December 30, 2023 Living in Montreal the weather is not on my side at this time of the year so not sure if i will smoke or not. I was in a lounge with a friend on the 28th and i had a 2018 Lusitania that was excellent. It is suppose to be -1C tomorrow so i'll see then.
PuroDiario Posted December 30, 2023 Posted December 30, 2023 Sir Winston and CoRo day tomorrow. But I am also feeling like a Maltés.
BoliDan Posted December 30, 2023 Posted December 30, 2023 I might make it to the 9 o'clock news. No guarantees. 1 1
joeypots Posted December 30, 2023 Posted December 30, 2023 Conni B then to the fireworks and a nice restaurant with friends. Maybe something less special if I stay up late.
bmac Posted December 30, 2023 Posted December 30, 2023 Probably go with a 2017 Coro to start tomorrow. Not sure after that.2019 Lusi New Years Day.
PuffDaddie Posted December 30, 2023 Posted December 30, 2023 Sir Winston from 2013, happy new year to all.

I have one 2004 Chateau Beaucastel left that would be a good candidate. Cigar, I’m not sure but if the weather is good and I feel like it, I can come up with something special.
karp Posted December 31, 2023 Posted December 31, 2023 It’s a tough choice since the weather in Canada is not so great now… I’m thinking a Trini Coloniales, or Cohiba Sig II. We’ll see how daring I get as the night progresses.

Coudoulet is now over $30! That had been $15ish bottle of wine for really long time. The current releases of CdP are over a $100!!! WTF
Puros Y Vino Posted December 31, 2023 Posted December 31, 2023 Eyeing a 2011 BHK56 or something older from my vintage humidor.
anacostiakat Posted December 31, 2023 Posted December 31, 2023 Last Boli 2007 EL DC. Ok. When I went to the cubbard the cubbard was bare! Must have smoked the last one for Christmas. Having a Cohiba 2004 Sublime.
BlueRidgeFly Posted December 31, 2023 Posted December 31, 2023 Hmmm... 45 degrees F this afternoon, will be outside grilling some cow meat on lump charcoal, so something reliable and not too precious. Maybe a Padron 1964 Principe, a Nudie Carlota, or a 2017 PLPC. Then hanging with some friends tonight, none of them smoke 😔
Hammer Smokin' Posted December 31, 2023 Posted December 31, 2023 I have 8 or 9 Sig VI's with the old label that I think are 2009 or 2010. I've been slowly making my way through them. One a year or so. May spark one up. It has taken all my efforts not to sell them on BR, lol.
