I had a rare 3 day weekend, so I took this opportunity to have a rare two cigar weekend.
Prelighting, the wrapper has a milk chocolate, slight barn yard aroma. Cold draw, milk chocolate

Initial lighting, I get a citrus note mostly over taken by a medium white pepper retro. By the end of the 1/3 the initial flavor mellow and balance, while milk chocolate and cream start to show up

At the start of the 2/3. The stick just goes out. Seems to be a stubborn piece of tobacco that will not light. After a long torching it finally goes and tastes sour.

the 3/3 was plagued with the same construction issue. I chocked it up to maybe a bad leaf. When it was burning and didn’t taste bitter. I got milk chocolate and a slight lemon taste. At the nub, the burn is nice again and I get a nice chocolate flavor, mixed with coffee.

Agree, sounds like Monte 2 but I've never had a construction issue with a Monte 2 as described.
