Popular Post El Presidente Posted January 31, 2022 Popular Post Posted January 31, 2022 Your best cigar experience of the last 30 days? For me it was a relatively young Juan Lopez 2 that managed to get me out of the post covid "No Taste" hump. It wasn't the best burn but the flavour smacked my dead palate around and back into the world of the living. .....It also might have been the three Negroni's....... 11
Huckleberry Posted January 31, 2022 Posted January 31, 2022 2016 HdM Epicure No. 1. It seems to be growing older gracefully as I could see the oils glistening at the foot while smoking it. Wonderful flavors of light whipping cream, freshly baked homemade sweet breads, and a nice warm and subtle coffee flavor in the background. The long mouth coating finish was a heavenly experience as well. It was a beautiful cigar as has been the entire SLB. Not a construction issue to be found anywhere. I am so thankful I took your advice and started to acquire boxes of these when I hit send fast enough:) Even young this cigar has most of everything I am looking to enjoy when setting light to foot. I can't wait to see what years will bring to the table if the good Lord allows me to live long enough.s Thanks for sharing your expertise. 4

When a cigar starts going a bit off the rails, do you obsess over fixing it? What's your breaking point? Sometimes my lady looks over and goes, "Why don't you just go get another one, looks like you're not having a good time." @Chibearsv @Lord Verulam 2 3
Cigar Surgeon Posted January 31, 2022 Posted January 31, 2022 Had the La Sirena Mexican Mermaid at the TPE 2022, was pretty tasty. Also noteworthy was the Laranja Azulejo by Espinosa: 3

He has a short fuse if things are going poorly. I can't work through a crap cigar. In the case of the JLS2, it's flavour delivery/array was outstanding. I can more than forgive a wonky burn particularly in a cigar under 3 years of age. 3 3
Popular Post Juliano88 Posted January 31, 2022 Popular Post Posted January 31, 2022 RAT AGO 20 PLMC. Starting to become a caramel powerhouse. And a 21 Aganorsa Leaf Supreme leaf torpedo that’s smoking out of this world. 5
Popular Post RichUK Posted January 31, 2022 Popular Post Posted January 31, 2022 I dipped into a box of Upmann Mag 56 LE, as ever it was a wonderful cigar. 7
Popular Post bishop532 Posted January 31, 2022 Popular Post Posted January 31, 2022 I smoked my first cigar from a PSP box on Monte no 2s last week - TAO JUN 21. It started off with a scalded milk and coffee note that reminded me of café du monde’s cafe au lait. Absolutely delicious. 6
NapaNolan Posted January 31, 2022 Posted January 31, 2022 Took something out of the humidor I’ve been hoarding for a while. Back when I was starting out and active on another board someone sent me some older cigars. Based on memory, this was a Saint Luis Rey Corona from 98-02. No band, I thought I remember the person who gave it to me saying it came from a cab but CCW doesn’t show a SLR Corona cab. Either way, it was delicious. Took the dog out for a walk and timed the outbound walk poorly and found myself circling the block to finish the cigar. Really lovely, subtle and elegant, fully round and generous. Despite a bad light it corrected itself and burned so evenly. 4

What I crave and look for in a cigar. Enjoyed a negroni afterwards, not with. 3

Popular Post gustavehenne Posted February 1, 2022 Popular Post Posted February 1, 2022 Cuban - this 898 from Ramon Allones... The first half inch was a bit muted and then it exploded in flavour. Stewed fruit paired with leather paired with overall Allones goodness. Was delicious. Non-Cuban - this Fundador from Trinidad's Espiritu Series 2 line. Brazilian and Nicaraguan tobacco, very rich and full but beautifully balanced. Absolutely blew me away. 4 1

BrightonCorgi Posted February 1, 2022 Posted February 1, 2022 Rafael González 88 Edición Regional Asia Pacific was a hoot the other night. Burn and combustion were a dream. I am big of figurado and this one is just the right size for not being an event. 2
Popular Post Mhansen85 Posted February 1, 2022 Popular Post Posted February 1, 2022 I had a few very good sticks in January, but hands down the Leyenda! i suspect this might also be a candidate for cigar of the year for me. Too bad i only had a single, but if i am lucky my LCDH still has some. Pricey though.. 7 hours ago, BrightonCorgi said: Rafael González 88 Edición Regional Asia Pacific was a hoot the other night. Popular Post ha_banos Posted February 1, 2022 Popular Post Posted February 1, 2022 Often don't get a cigar in January due to weather. This was indeed only cigar in jan. But this Montecristo 5 2014 was excellent. Just really tasty with a bit of sweetness, behaved itself. Just what I needed after great lunch midweek. 8
Popular Post Cigarsmoker81 Posted February 1, 2022 Popular Post Posted February 1, 2022 I had a good run in January, this boli’18 was a standout though 7
