El Presidente Posted December 28, 2021 Posted December 28, 2021 Having a relaxing time 10:30 am drink and cigar. Read the paper, movie (s) in the afternoon. cooking up a storm. A little gym, trying to do as little emails as possible, committing myself to sending a note to 2 friends each day that I haven't caught up with in a while. Another drink/cigar lat arvo. Di and I have been putting on (Your Tube Music) a full concert each afternoon before dinner over a drink and a cigar. We crank it loud, and watch/listen to the spectacular. It started with Queen at Wembley. Yesterday was Elton John Madison Square garden. Today I think it will be Foo Fighters at Hyde Park. Give me your favourite concert of all time....just one. I will track it down and put it on the playlist. 2
dominattorney Posted December 28, 2021 Posted December 28, 2021 Jerry garcia band March 22 1978 at veterans hall. Also known as Garcia Live volume 4. Wonderful mix of old standards, great musicianship, and Donna Jean doesn't sound like a strangled cat for once. 3
Bijan Posted December 28, 2021 Posted December 28, 2021 Hahaha! You asked 😋 I recommend you tune in at around 24:00 when they kick it up a notch.
GolfT3 Posted December 28, 2021 Posted December 28, 2021 Aretha Franklins Amazing Grace shows in L.A. in ‘72 are so good. I loved the album for years before seeing video and realizing that she was the one playing keys in addition to singing. Great performance. Also, biased by watching the new documentary, but the Beatles rooftop concert is pretty darn great. Nice routine, enjoy! 1
Bartolomeo Posted December 28, 2021 Posted December 28, 2021 Oasis @ Knebworth Elvis @ Aloha from Hawaii The Killers @ Royal Albert Hall Tom Petty @ Gainesville Bee Gees @ One Night Only Dont judge.....😋
riderpride Posted December 28, 2021 Posted December 28, 2021 Give Peter Gabriel in Athens a shot ~1987 or his show in Milan from 2003. Each one is significantly different and exhibits his mastry of the art. The best of each would be 'in your eyes'in the former, and 'solsbury hill' in the latter which includes his daughter singing backup. Cheers! 1
Ford2112 Posted December 28, 2021 Posted December 28, 2021 For any Heavy Metal enthusiasts here,I recommend the Dortmund 1983 DVD . Iron Maiden Krokus MSG Scorpions Ozzy Osbourne Quiet Riot Judas Priest Def Leppard It's a great snapshot in time, and the crowd is phenomenal. Don't mid Michael Schenker and Ozzy looking like death warmed over. Thy were backstage ripping it up lol. 1
Hammer Smokin' Posted December 28, 2021 Posted December 28, 2021 that whole "Just one" is a toughie eh. Ole Seminole Reservation, Big Cypress Florida - Phish (NYE '99). Unfortunately not a lot of quality video footage from this historic event. 2

Ken Gargett Posted December 28, 2021 Posted December 28, 2021 there are a thousand great bruce concerts but brizzy late feb 14 was hard to beat. at least Di will love it. sadly, i think that the full concert has been taken down but you can see the opening song here. very very different to what one expected. but an amazing way to kickoff one of the great concerts. tom morello really added something to that tour. this was the last concert of the tour. 4 hours. just wow! the rest of the set list is below. others - dylan on the budokan tour. neil young outdoors at the ANZ stadium. eric clapton at the royal albert hall with mark knopfler on guitar and phil collins on drums (and watching it from my own box). one of the most fun ones was fats domino and his band (also the albert hall). billy joel and fleetwood mac back in the 80s - by the 90s neither were anywhere near as good live. rodriguez at festival hall early 80s. but for me, the most fun by the proverbial mile was a private concert at a golf event by the four tops. sensational. i got to be the fifth top for the evening. Stayin' Alive (Bee Gees cover) (Live premiere) Play Video It's Hard to Be a Saint in the City (Tour premiere) Play Video Does This Bus Stop at 82nd Street? (Tour premiere) Play Video Growin' Up Play Video Spirit in the Night Play Video High Hopes (The Havalinas cover) Play Video Just Like Fire Would (The Saints cover) Play Video You Can Look (But You Better Not Touch) (Tour premiere, Sign request) Play Video Sherry Darling (Sign request) Play Video Save My Love (Sign request) Play Video Fade Away (Tour premiere, Sign request;… more ) Play Video The Wild, the Innocent & the E Street Shuffle The E Street Shuffle Play Video 4th of July, Asbury Park (Sandy) Play Video Kitty's Back Play Video Wild Billy's Circus Story (Tour premiere) Play Video Incident on 57th Street (Tour premiere) Play Video Rosalita (Come Out Tonight) Play Video New York City Serenade (Tour premiere, w/ additional strings) Play Video Darlington County Play Video Waitin' on a Sunny Day (With last part sung by child fan) Play Video The Rising Play Video The Ghost of Tom Joad (w/ Tom Morello on shared vocals) Play Video Badlands Play Video Encore: Glory Days Play Video Born to Run Play Video Bobby Jean Play Video Dancing in the Dark Play Video Tenth Avenue Freeze-Out Play Video Highway to Hell (AC/DC cover) (with Eddie Vedder) Play Video Encore 2: Thunder Road (Solo acoustic) Play Video Note: Soundcheck included: "New York City Serenade", "4th of July, Asbury Park (Sandy)" and "Stayin' Alive" I WAS THERE 47 setlist.fm users were there
BrightonCorgi Posted December 28, 2021 Posted December 28, 2021 Barry White with Earth, Wind, and Fire at the Boston Garden 1997.
cnov Posted December 28, 2021 Posted December 28, 2021 Rolling Stones at Glastonbury 2013 - The videos just don't do it justice and I'm not sure that the whole set is even out on the wild yet, but it was incredible. Biggest crowd I've ever been in, everyone except two old dears in front of us on their feet dancing! Unbelievable that those guys are still going but they had everyone eating out of the palm of their hands.
Chibearsv Posted December 28, 2021 Posted December 28, 2021 Best concert I've been to was Queen in 1982 at Poplar Creek but you've already got Queen at Wembley which works just fine. 1
Puros Y Vino Posted December 28, 2021 Posted December 28, 2021 I'll recommend this one. The mighty Van Halen at the US Festival in 1983. 1 1
