I am looking for a new cutter to replace my older colibri. I guess I am a bit picky and don't really like how these kind of rubbery covered cutters get with some use, so I was thinking about getting one that won't scratch easily. Any suggestions on colibris or xikars? Can't really seem to find cuban crafters around Portugal, Spain, nor amazon, that's why I'm leaning to colibris or xikars. Cheers.

I have been using a Colibri Cut I got for Christmas and it has been great so far and no scratches.

Believe it was only like $30 too, which seems like a decent price for it

Been using the standard Xikar for years (this one 6 years) with not a nick. Everything you see is just dirt.

I have a couple that are the same style and love them.

Germanus makes a ‘perfect cutter’. For all intents and purposes the same as the Cuban Crafters one. I’ve been using mine for a couple of years and it still does a perfect job. You can find it on Amazon.

I've been looking at those actually, kind of brushed metal.

I've been seeing a lot of germanus stuff on amz but always thought of it like a "low cost" brand. Might add a cutter on my next order and give it a try. Thanks.

Palio. Plastic won't get scratched up. I've had mine for 15 years; still sharp and looks like it did when I got it.

Palio is the way to go and the blades are ultra thin so they cut super clean and stay sharp plus they are a cigar rest. You can get them on EBay for less than $15. Really great cutters and no springs to break and no gimmicks. Just a solid cutters with no blade play.

A bit hard to find around here and also, I've read quite a bit about the difference in quality from those palio from 10 years ago and from those made since they were bought. Seems they aren't made as good as they were but would like to try them anyway if i could source one.

Xikar is well regarded.

I love the enameled Zinos.

Action is like velvet, blades stay sharp, and the finish seems completely resilient.

I house mine in an Elie Bleu lighter case into which it nestles perfectly.

Been using the same Zino Davidoff double edge guillotine for 25 years now. No issues!
