Popular Post Deeg Posted June 4, 2021 Popular Post Posted June 4, 2021 Serious question - have you ever had a bad one? It's a tough call, but if I had to pick one cigar as the only one I could smoke for the rest of time, it might be the Fundadores (assuming money was no object of course). It's a great cigar generally, obviously. A fantastic size. But what's amazing to me is that it's the only CC that I've smoked quite a lot of and never had a dud. Bad draws: 0. Uneven burn: 0. Wonky construction: 0. Some are sublime, most are great, a few are very good - but they're never flat or uninteresting. They're 100-120 minutes of a consistently tasty profile that evolves over the course of the cigar. 6

I guess I've been lucky - never had a plugged one (pretty miraculous in a skinny) or indeed, one with a draw far off perfect.
Popular Post Hammer Smokin' Posted June 4, 2021 Popular Post Posted June 4, 2021 Fundadores and CoLa's are the two best cigars I've smoked for consistency. SW's and Espies have a higher reach point, but I've had some less amazing ones (not bad ones, just less amazing). All Fundies and CoLa's have been fantastic! 7
Corylax18 Posted June 4, 2021 Posted June 4, 2021 I've had to deal with the Odd tight/plugged draw, which is even more painful with a cigar like this. But flavor wise, yes, extremely consistent. Consistently delicious. I've had almost the same success rate with Coloniales too. Interestingly enough, I usually run into more open draws with the Coloniales though. I cant remember the last time I had one that was plugged.(the next one will be 😄) I love both cigars though and keep plenty of both on hand.
BrightonCorgi Posted June 4, 2021 Posted June 4, 2021 The initial and early years were just ok to good. They've steadily improved after that.

Haven't had a recent Monte Esp. to compare the three.
LLC Posted June 4, 2021 Posted June 4, 2021 I’ve had a few that were too tight but when construction is good they are great.
Riverstyx Posted June 5, 2021 Posted June 5, 2021 I love ‘em but I’ve definitely had a few that were pretty flat flavor wise.
mprach024 Posted June 6, 2021 Posted June 6, 2021 Lovely cigars. When not plugged. To which I have had many. Flavor wise, good to very good. I’ve had many over the years that were much like any dud of a Trini, woody, papery, bland. When they are good they are great. 1
Edicion Posted June 6, 2021 Posted June 6, 2021 They're not high on my list, find them somewhat inconsistent. Most I've had remind me of Cuabas, nothing against Cuabas, just a woody, cardboard, earthy flavor that's not very pleasant for being a Trini. Might need to find some further examples perhaps.
Ry27 Posted June 6, 2021 Posted June 6, 2021 I’ve had one that was awful, no taste whatsoever and a very ugly wrapper. I have bad luck with Trinidad, unfortunate bc the good ones are great
BrightonCorgi Posted June 7, 2021 Posted June 7, 2021 Robusto T's have been my favorite regular Trinidad release. They should've never stopped making them.

I'm getting similar results from the couple boxes I've tried too. They are a very nice cigar when they flow but I can't stand working and huffing to get smoke production and that's happened easily on 1/3 of the ones I've tried. If the price point was more reasonable, I'd be more inclined to buy more; but at their current prices, they are not very high on my list. 1
