What cigars are you actively hunting for?

Recommended Posts

I was asken on Thursday what (if any) aged cigars I was actively searching for that still come up at reasonable pricing?

There are days i surprise myself and I quickly spat out half a dozen  that you can still track down at reasonalble pricing and that I would pick up in a heartbeat.

Sancho Panza Molinos

H Upmann Connoisseur 1         (aged examples can go quite cheaply)

Vegas Robaina Familiar

Vegas Robaina Clasicos

Romeo y Julieta Cazadores      (I love an aged Cazzy).

Sancho Panza Belicoso

There is nothing extravagant on that list and even the deleted pop up quite regularly.

Let us know if there is a cigar or two that you keep your eye out for. ;)

Partagas 898 and Montecristo Especial please please

Story of my life! Always a day late.  I hear Bitcoin might take off.

Technically I should not be buying at all currently 👿. My hard to turn down list, if I were to come across them, consists of all cigars I have never tried yet: LGCMD4  Partagas 898

just looking for stuff that comes up here....just not often, and when they do, they sell out.

QDO Coronas

Trini Coloniales

They come up every once in a blue moon....like a teaser :)

I wouldn't say no to some PSP Monte 1's either.

Those would be my top 3.

Beyond that, a 3'er or 5'er of Espies would be great!

VR Clasicos.

My local B&M had some stock up to the lockdown. I enjoyed grabbing a single 10+ year old Clasicos as a treat. They were only being sold for $23 CAD. Box dates ranged from 2008 to 2011.

But my past visit they were finally all gone :(

SP Molinos;

RG and/or Bolivar Coronas Extra;

LGC or ERdM Tainos;

Punch Churchills;

QdO Imperiales;

Troya Universales (just kidding, but it was the 1st Cuban box I ever bought in 1996 and has some sentimental value, LOL);

I got 4-5 from another similar B&M early covid period last year before they sold out of everything. 2 were ok but the rest were pretty lousy. I've had generally mixed luck with aged singles. Some Sancho Panza non plus from the same source were real tent pegs.

Of the discontinued stuff the le Hoyo series. Though I have most of what I want. About as reasonable as the SP and VR stuff I think and more to my taste (probably more reasonable than the clasicos).

Of current stuff not necessarily reasonably priced but Siglo V and Monte A.

From El Presidente's mentions, the Sancho Panza Molinos and R&J Cazadores

I'll add that I'd love to find some Monte 1 and Monte Especial with some age.

Based on reviews I would be tempted to go in on a box of Bolivar Gigantes, despite never had one. Not sure the $ would be reasonable. I have also seen that “reasonable” is very subjective at auction time.

Those were reasonable a year ago :)

Now they've gone off the rails a bit!
