Did a search and only came up with one brief review with no responses.

Anyone who has tried these care to share their opinion of them?

Considering picking up a few but they are pretty pricey, especially for the size, and would love to get some opinions before buying.

Thanks,

Sean

Top tier cigar. A bit stronger than most Cohibas imo. Very very good cigar. They age beautifully as well

I haven't had one yet, but my circle of pretty prolific cigar smoking friends say the same thing.

Are they fine ROTT, or do they require aging to be smokeable?

Age? They've only been in the wild for about 4 years. I think we're a few years out before we can call even the initial release aged.

I've only smoked a couple. Flavors where good, but this size (regardless of marca) just doesn't do it for me. A bit to fat and way to short for me. I would recommend most of the line ahead of the this cigar. Especially the CE, Sig II and Robusto in this general size bracket.

They smoke good young. I have smoked some young and have smoked some from late 16. It seems as though they get better and better imo

Smoked some from late 16 a while back and they have gotten progressively better as time goes on. Long term aging, we will have to wait and see

Very tasty, very strong.

Hence, this is why i think it will age well long term too.

I love this cigar! When it's on, it's like buttered popcorn with hints of vanilla and the rest of the cohiba DNA. Much stronger than any CoRo or Sig II. I get @Corylax18 Cory's dislike with the size. I don't love the way it smokes near the end. They can get hot right around the time they're beginning to taste like magic. Which can ruin the experience. But if you smoke slowly enough... you can do it an be enjoy it. I'm a believer in this cigar. Sitting on a bunch of boxes and will look at add at the right price.

Grab a 5er next time they're up on 24:24.

Happy smoking

I am also not a fan of the bigger ring gauges, but with this cigar i dont care. @ElJavi76 is right about smoking slow. I will add to retro hale as often as possible as well, if your into that type of smoking.

They are a good cigar. However at the over 400 price tag, you might as well go with CoRo which for me is a much better size.
When these could be had here for sub 300 (less than island price) they were a steal. But now it’s a hard pass, would rather grab Siglo 2 at sub 300 or put a few bucks more for a cab of Coro. Just my opinion.

I'm pretty sure you gave me the first one I smoked! Haha

Maybe at Espacios a couple years ago? I definitely got that buttery sweetness you're talking about.

I would say that the size of the MS is awkward but the flavor is better than a coro or a sig ll, just my opinion. I prefer the size of  the coro and the sig ll over the MS. As for the price i totally agree. You can never go wrong with a cab of Coro's

Agreed, I’ve found most MS to be more flavorful and tasty than CoRo. And I say that despite not being a fan of the size either.

You are.  And I better be smoking one yours for dessert this summer so I can report what they're like firsthand.

The search function here leaves quite a bit to be desired.

So your “Cohibas” taste like artificial butter flavor and palm oil warmed over with a hint of vomit? Remind me to never use your sources.

You're killing me Cory. What I wouldn't do to turn back the clock and return to Nov '18. Not only did I get to meet guys like you, Nino, El Prez, Ben, and the Mikes... but it was my first trip back to Cuba after 38 years. Brings a smile to my soul.

Carlson... my first Medio Siglo handed out on our trip this year will go to you. @SigmundChurchill Elliot will give me some of his throw away Behike seconds when you're not around.

Was giving that as a flavor reference not cause I eat popcorn these days... from childhood memories. I haven't had any popcorn in ages. You're right on the current state of popcorn. How about lightly buttered croissant or toast? Although I get more baked bread/pastry from Trinis than Cohibas.

Cheers all

I like em', but as others say above the value quotient is pretty bad.

I'd rather park my coin in Laguito CoRo or Sig2

I'll rummage through the ashtrays.  He usually forgets where he set them after a few puffs and just lights another.

My first box of these were smoked through faster than any other box I’ve ever owned. The fact that I couldn’t control myself at all with these says a lot. I have a full box now that I’m going to try and sit on for a while if I can control myself.

These had some excellent production runs in 18-19.  Can't speak to the current batches going around, but if you like Cohiba, & can score them for a solid price, I think you'll be pleased with em.  They still take me well over an hour to burn despite their short length.  You may wanna hunt for a 15-pack of Tubos before you commit to cabinet.  It seems like the Tubo packs haven't seen as dramatic of a price increase as the cabinets have.  Plus the very best Medios I've had were '19 Tubo packs.  I wish I had grabbed another cabinet when they went here for $298 a little over a year ago.  Sucks how prices on the bottom & too ends have increased so dramatically since the 'Rona came to town.

Actually will be buying them as singles to keep the cost down until I have tried them.

Haven't seen them as Tubos anywhere. I typically pay the extra dollar or two for Tubos whenever possible. Much better for transport and no damage from rummaging around in the humidor.

Price with the vendor I'm looking at isn't really too bad. About tied for the most I have ever paid for a cigar.

Have noticed them being significantly more expensive with a lot of the vendors I have looked at.

They are getting good responses taste-wise for the most part across the several forums I posted this question on.

But many consider them too pricey for a Petit Robusto though (which Iagree with), but many are getting an hour smoke time out of them which is interesting and a plus in my book.

Will likely just take a chance on them and get 3 so its not too hard on my wallet, and I'm not stuck with a bunch if I don't like them.

Thread inspired me to check on some of my MS from last year. Good but young - on pace for about 50-55 minutes. Honestly these have enough nicotine that I wouldn’t want them to last any longer. Despite their size, I get a stronger buzz off these than any other Cohiba besides Esplendidos (and perhaps the occasional Siglo VI).

For me personally any cigar that needs to be smoked especially slowly or it will be ruined generally doesn't work for me. Not that I smoke fast all the time (my last perlas was 45 minutes and my last marevas 70 minutes), but more often than not when I smoke one of these cigars that needs to be smoked slowly it soon takes a bad turn and goes downhill from there.
