Popular Post El Presidente
Di and I took a different route this morning on our weekend morning walk. We can thank the below sign for saving us from crashing into the boardwalk rail and toppling over to our possible deaths. Speechless 5

mrmessy
In the US, if someone turned left and fell over the rail, they would sue and win. And then the sign would be mandatory. This is why there is a note on coffee cup lids that state that it is hot. Sent from my SM-N976U using Tapatalk

Well, by not having a Left Turn sign for those coming the other way, they’re asking for a lawsuit.

I don't care if it's got "TOILETS" written the building! do I look like I was born yesterday?. Nope!! No thank you big brother, I'm not having my rights affected, I'm going Left, and take my chances with the drop, and the multitude of hostile snakes below........at least you know where you are with snakes" 1 1
Ken Gargett
my favourite is a sign on a small rail crossing in the Yarra Valley in Victoria. "Give Way to Trains". really? as opposed to the alternative?

You didn't seen the mess left over from generations of prospective wizards throwing themselves into to walls, linedancing into escalators sideways and foxtrotting directly into oncoming trains before platform 9 3/4 was discovered. "Give Way to Trains". really? as opposed to the alternative? Ken, as you may be aware, Sydney recently got trams back. In the short time they have been around, and despite the near constant bombardment of Govt signage and adverts asking people to not walk in front of trams and give way, there has been near constant incidences of people getting hit by trams or driving in to them. So, do you really trust people if there were no signage?

That's just silly, Ken. They would get in the way of all the bicycle signage we have in the CBD!

Too many people looking down at their phones and not where they are going.
