Damn the Torpedoes 

I received these three incredible boxes of Torpedoes yesterday. They look quite amazing and they smell wonderful! 

I will put these away and forget about them until at least 2025 and will hopefully be rewarded for my patience. 
 

This week feels like Christmas for how many boxes that got delivered to me.

LOL, Well you forgot about the La Punta's (I guess the are a belicoso size and not exactly a torpedo but the same shape) and I recently received a box of those as well. Now my life is complete!  LMAO 🤣

Nah, I have to say I am not a big fan of Bolivars.  I have still half a box of 2014 Bolivar PCs and struggling to smoking them.

Made a similar purchase about a month ago but mine were BEO JUL 16 and just the opposite on the wrapper spectrum. They are great but I can't help but be a little jealous. Great pick-up!!!

One broken foot. Was going to sacrifice one to the ROTT gods anyways, guess this one is it.

Pic doesn’t do it justice - by far the darkest Boli PC’s I’ve ever seen. Real nice sheen on them too. From a 24:24 here. Been going deeper on the PC’s with the cost of everything going up so much

How are these to sample ROTT, once rested at 62% for a week or two?  I know they are very young.

In general to me cigars are ok literally ROTT. Then it depends on the difference between the cigar's moisture content/humidity on arrival and your storage. If they match then they continue to be OK, if there's a difference (up or down) it'll take something like 30-60 days for them to reach equilibrium.

Depends whether you like them smooth or rough.  The Medio Siglo needs to be well acclimated or you may have burn issues but flavors are good and pretty smooth early on.  Robustos need some years on them or you'll have a mongrel on your hands.

In my relatively short experience purchasing CC, I’ve noticed all seem to be over humidified and have swelling and splitting issues in the last third. 
I might go ahead and sample the Medio Siglo just to see where they are at.

Yes I would say all vendors store at more than 62%, with FOH generally being on the lower end, and some other vendors being very high. There was a post where someone mentioned taking boxes from various vendors and putting them in tupperware with no boveda and a hygrometer and measuring what happened, and the results reflected that.
