For me an OG release Montecristo 80th. My lounge is open b/c it's in a hotel...then on to see The Big Lebowski on the big screen , an annual Portland tradition.

Sounds like a great idea. I might re-visit a Montecristo 80th myself, rested since 2016.

I end up with three Christmas celebrations for family, in-laws and friends, and each one ends up with a different rough plan.

Family:  We are holding my family Christmas on Saturday, and I will likely start with something big like a Ramon Allones Gigantes in the morning before my brothers arrive with their various young children, and a La Fuerza for the afternoon/evening when they have (finally) left.

In-laws:  Christmas day itself (along with the days before and after) will be spent with the in-laws.  My cigar smoking is an unspoken secret - they know of it but don't acknowledge it, and I don't mention it.  No cigars.

Friends:  Christmas with friends will be on December 29, and the morning will definitely start with a Montecristo A, then a couple of cheaper sticks throughout the day which will all be smoked in a swimming pool.

The Christmas day cigar will have to wait until we are back at our beach unit late afternoon.

Coming on dusk overlooking pristine sand and a clean swell.

Gin and tonic,  N3 carlota

Would the ERDM Taino from the Xmas Sampler be a good one for after Xmas lunch? Or does it need a lot more time? The QdO 2019 short robusto was quite sublime the other day. The 2019 Esplendido is classic DNA first half but I can detect the youth in the second half...not in a bad way however.

Saint Luis Rey Marquez (ER Cuba) for me. No special reason other than I've made it a tradition to smoke one on Christmas day starting 2 years ago. Its been a perfect mid afternoon smoke while the kids are enjoying their new toys and all is right with the world.

Not sure yet but maybe a Sir Winnie or one of the Behikes.

I usually pick an EL for a Christmas smoke. Checked my humidor a couple of weeks back and saw that the oils of my Monte 2010 has soaked through the band. Very tempted.

My parents will be flying to spend the Xmas with my sister in London so likely Dad and I will have an early smoke before then. Unfortunately, I can't go as well.

I'll be at me brother's place for Christmas, and it may be raining, so I am not sure what I will have then (probably something medium bodied that I can share with me bros).

But the one I'm celebrating with tonight, trumps that one, for sure!

I’ll be at my Uncle’s staying in his guest suite (above his woodworking shop). It’ll be something after the wife and baby have gone down. I’m thinking something long and skinny will be in order.

Well have a lot going on right now with the new baby and a flat move but will try to get some time to enjoy a cigar.

Fingers crossed the nudies might come and I get to ROTT one but thinking might have a Leyenda.

Cigar? If I was going to be home for the holidays, it would be the following, in this order: VRDA, Lusi, then finish with a Sir Winston. Glorious.

Unfortunately, I won't be home and I don't have any of these cigars with me lol oh well

No idea but whatever it will be it will be a welcome diversion from dealing with the inlaws for a few days. Time to sit back and relax for a while.

Christmas dinner at my house is always prime rib roast, boned and rolled, cooked low and slow with the reverse sear method. I think a Siglo VI from my dwindling supply would hit the spot after a holiday meal like that. That's before desert, though. After pie and coffee I could see a nice MC#1. That way the second cigar is a good cigar following a fantastic first cigar.  I always smoke the best cigar on a multiple cigar day first.

I’m Jewish, so I will be on call at work.  My family always goes to my wife’s brother’s house, as my sister-in-law is Catholic and she hosts Christmas every year.  If I am not working, I will be going there.  My wife’s brother is a cigar smoker so we usually will have one together on holidays.  I will bring a Talisman for myself, and a CoRo for him (He is an NC smoker and wouldn’t fully appreciate the Talisman).
