I'd say a Churchill, Lonsdale or lanceros of SLR or RA.

those sizes, but I'd like it in a PL or a LGC....even a San Cristobal.

But more than those 3, DIPLO!!!

But Churchill, Lonsdale, and Lanceros please.

Diplo. I’d kill the No. 2 and replace it with 5 different lengths of 55RG cigars, from 4” to 9”. All with secondary bands akin to the Upmann Magnums, but for length rather than girth. They’d be call

La Gloria Cubana, Cuba's oldest marca....it deserves it. I'd launch the following (keeping current trends in mind) & aim to keep the prices fair (let's say under Trinidad): Lancero

ERDM needs a reboot. Bring back the Gran Coronas and Tainos. Add a Gorditos.

My heart says sancho panza. And my brain says it could work too since it’s so different than the rest of the portfolio but I think I’m just fooling myself.

My brain says Diplo and treat it as cohibas sister. Apparently, names sell and the name is badass. Bands sell too so maybe they could improve that.

if it weren’t for the picadores I’d say PL. again, my heart says keep it small - I like PL that way

ERDM

A Montesco because that's what HSA does

Some Perlas because that's typically the size cigar people recommend when someone is looking for a small cigar.

A large format cigar like a Cañonazo, 109, Dobles etc to fill the void. It would of course be a LCDH release so we can charge more.?

what's wrong with the picadores?

do they not sell well (not popular)? cause I love 'em.

I’ve only had a few but never had one I loved.  To each their own.

Now this is hard I would love Ramon Allones to what QDS has in 54"s

Hmmm so slightly larger than RASS in 10ct boxes? I'll stick with the 50s ?

How about 109s as regular for every brand?

Also, please bring back La Escepcion. Thanks

San Cristobal

On the wings of the current RE and the reliability of the few vitolas it still produces, play up the history behind the name and launch some product...a corona, a DC, and something(s) with double/triple bands and ego appeasing / money making ring gauge... the La Habana 60!

They have been. You have the Prado, and now the La Cabanas

Bring back La Escepsion as a brand, choose vitolas for today's market - please at least one skinny, a corona or a dalia. An 898 format I think would be popular. I like the black and gold bands too.

As a selling point, make them to match their old reputation. Make them the biggest, boldest, strongest bodied Cuban cigars available, that age a dream.

I reckon this would sell big in the US - maybe lure over some of those NC smokers that find Cuban cigars too "mild".

I think the brand that has the most potential for a successful revamp is probably SLR or LGC. SLR is a very appealing profile and I very much liked what they did with the Marquez. LGC is a very well-known brand with a NC counterpart. It's never really had a complete lineup always leaning towards smaller RG cigars. I'd love to see a Robusto Extra or Piramides.

Unfortunately I don't think brands like Sancho Panza or Dip have the worldwide recognition to make them as big a success as the others. Not to say it wouldn't help--I'm quite impressed by how the QdO revamp has panned out. No reason it couldn't be duplicated with all the other sleeping marcas.

San Cristobal

I think they are putting some effort into SC but unfortunately it's the wrong effort. The Prado is plain stupid and they have one model that no one even knows about because they only offer it in a $600 jar. I guarantee that cigar would sell very well in 10s but I guess it hasn't occurred to anyone...

The lineup would be perfectly fine if they offered Torreon in 10s and brought back the Murallas as a LCDH. I'd love to see the Mercaderes or Oficios (never going to happen) back personally and with just one if those in the lineup it would be very well-rounded. They can kill the Prado for all I care. Someone should be taken out to pasture for that dumb release.

LGC, Maybe with a Double Robusto and a Petit Edmundo.

Neither of which I would smoke. ?

Double Robusto in 10 may work.

Petit Edmundo becoming a crowded market. I suspect you would be cannibalising from QD and Trinidad.

Crowded market again.

Retailers worldwide if they are looking for a Robusto/Hermoso will stick to the major 6.

Shrinking retail spaces, no room for PL in Picadores format.

They would be better off moving the Picadores to a tube and CP

La Escepcion.   Would make people go bananas. Finos. Gran Gener, hermoso no 4 and a Petit Corona.

Agreed. Sure fire winner in the short term at least.

Which brand would you drop?

SLR currently has a struggling hermoso 4.  The only way is up ;)

Where do you move however.  Piramide? Possible but up against some venerable company. and some of those are struggling (Unicos). Smal and mid  formats such as PC and A a fail in the past. Rebranding as per QD? Possibly. Are there other lower hanging fruit? Likely.

Guantanemera

No cigar for you ;)

Guantanamera is a successful "in Cuba" tourist cigar.

I like the idea but again, bringing in a brand extension will mean one existing  would have to go. They can't produce their current lineup and haven't been able to od so for 4-5 years.

Vegas Robaina/Sancho Panza? barely in production now.  Both would have to go. Rafael Gonzalez? Possibility

Haha not suggesting there isn't a market for cheapies but Jesus HSA should see the Guantanemera as an opportunity to win new burgeoning enthusiasts. Make them at least as good as a JLP Cazzie.

Reading this makes you sad that the most marginalised brands have the most distinctive blends. Really sad people don't smoke them more, if they only gave them a chance they would be life long converts
