Ken Gargett
i see they have confirmed rami malik as the next bond villain. and bringing back Q, M, Moneypenny. but also lea seydoux? seriously? unless it is to kill her in the first scene, it is not promising for this next film. dullest bond girl ever. for me, the two main reasons that spectre fell short of skyfall were that lea seydoux was the most unconvincing bong girl ever and the idea that bond, two days after meeting her, is ready to run off with her and never be seen again was idiotic and utterly unbelievable. the other was the dave bautista charcter - mr hinx? not that he did anything wrong (one word of dialogue is hardly going to tax most actors) but that blofeld, the supposed criminal genius, allows someone to walk into his organisation in a top role simply by knocking off someone else. too much just did not have any ring of authenticity. fingers crossed that the scriptwriters can overcome some of this. and kill off LS.
Astar20
It's definitely not appealing, skyfall was mediocre but after Casino Royale they all went downhill

I have a hard time watching anything after Casino Royale. I did not care for Quantum, Skyfall or Spectre. The franchise is really losing steam fast after the Casino Royale revitalization.
Ken Gargett
casino royale was a fabulous reboot and for me, perhaps the best of all the bond flicks. i thought quantum dire - still do - but if you take out the action scenes (yes, absurd for a bond flick), it is not so bad. the problem is that all the action stuff is done so poorly - it is impossible to follow, to know who is doing what - with the cuts being about half a second long. that is all down to the director. should not be allow to direct dog food commercials. i thought skyfall very good, not quite casino standard. spectre a bit further below for the reasons above. but as a collection, only those by connery can compare.
Fuzz
I fell asleep watching Casino Royale. Never cared for Daniel Craig as Bond, so I don't bother with his other Bond films. 1
CaptainQuintero
I wonder how significant Danny Boyle quitting over the creative differences issue will be. I always assume it's some diva action going on but there's no reason for it to be that he thinks it's going to be a huge steaming pile. I'm not the biggest fan of the Craig Bond but I really enjoyed Skyfall, it has the perfect mix of action, nostalgia, gadgets, seriousness and playfulness. It really should he been the end of his line and them starting work on the next direction for the series. I can't even remember anything about the following film. I'm still holding out hope that the stars will line up and Daniel Day Lewis will do a one off incredible Bond film. I know it will never happen but just imagine it..

Aparrently there was a re-incarnation sequence in the script, and Danny Boyle wanted no part of it. If it's true, I also want no part

If it's true, I also want no part i think that is a bit backwards. boyle was one of the scriptwriters as well as directing. he and the other bloke doing the writing (hodge something, i think) had a plan and the producers/broccoli's etc said no way. it was not that boyle wouldn't accept the story. no one has said exactly what it was that he wanted to do but it is believed he wanted to kill bond. the idea would be that then a new actor would take over and that new actor would play a character who would become 007. so not really so much reincarnation and it came from him, not that he didn't want it. 1

I can now watch it in full relaxation, that Bond isn't going to be bought out of "Warmliquidgoophase" like Austin Powers.

He's so typecast too; when he turned up in Inglorious Bastards the whole time I was expecting him to turn to the camera and give an Austin Powers eyebrow raise

JohnS
I distinctly remember that Daniel Day-Lewis mentioned that his last movie, The Phantom Thread, was to be his last prior to retirement.

DeskSmkr
I’m speechless, a new Bond film? I love them all, this is exciting. When is it being released? Wish we could do a poll for favorite bond film, but there are so many, and it would be too many multiple choices. What are your favorites?
Cep
I liked casino royale, but jeeez the poker scenes were laughable at best (unforgivable at worst).

I liked Daniel Craig as Bond. Connery is the epitome for me personally, but I’m ok with (and like) different actors and seeing other interpretations.
