That being said, I always prefer a darker wrapper with the Monte's, so I will vote right.

I love a nice, even milk chocolate wrapper on a Monte.  But in the case of the #2 I'd forget that and go with right.  They look amazing.

After all these years I've still never managed to have a good #2, not for lack of trying ether! I tend towards lighter for Monte; I once had some very dark especial#1 that were similarly dark and they were too far over into the cowpat camp to really get into, so... Left?

I would take the left because I don't really age my cigars too long. I would smoke the left and age the right.

Left. But really hard to pass up the box on the right with that brindled look. It would really come down to which one has more oil sheen, which is hard to see from a pic.

If the wrappers on the right are thin and silky, which they certainly look to be, then I would pick the box on the right. I prefer my Montecristo with a darker colorado-maduro wrapper, unlike most other marcas.

Dark oily M2’s have always been one of my favorites so right for me. Admittedly I’ve never had a light shaded M2 with that much sheen. Beautiful boxes!

If the left has more sweet cream but the right has more chocolate flavor character, I guess I would prefer the left in the morning with coffee and the right right after dinner with dessert.
