Popular Post Blazer Posted July 30, 2018 Popular Post Posted July 30, 2018 By far the funniest cigar related content I have ever read! Full article at the link below. “The reputation of Cuban cigars has worsened over the years among true cigar aficionados. While you may still find a great regard for Cubans, it is not unlikely to find those that invest in cigars completely convert to only Gurkha’s once they have experienced our cigars,” says Danny Carroll, brand ambassador for Gurkha Cigars. “I have found that, quickly, their perceptions of where the best cigars come from are shattered.” https://www.themanual.com/culture/gurkha-cigars-most-expensive-cigar/ 9

Doctorossi Posted July 30, 2018 Posted July 30, 2018 You're correct, Mr. Carroll, it is not unlikely. Indeed, it is very unlikely. 1
83Nation Posted July 30, 2018 Posted July 30, 2018 “For anyone who can afford the $1,000,000 price tag attached to the above trip and is interested in taking Gurhka up on its offer, you’ll have to contact the brand directly.”I think El Prez should offer up this sort of FOH “experience”, which includes having to manage our 24:24 emails and cleaning Ken’s porch! SigmundChurchill Posted July 30, 2018 Posted July 30, 2018 The NC industry has been spewing this crap for 30 years. 1
Popular Post Derboesekoenig Posted July 30, 2018 Popular Post Posted July 30, 2018 Hahaha bunch of haters. Also, Gurkha cigars are terrible 6
shrink Posted July 30, 2018 Posted July 30, 2018 Why liquidate your cigars when you can burn them all for the insurance money... like Ken G. 3

Popular Post Buck14 Posted July 30, 2018 Popular Post Posted July 30, 2018 I wouldn’t use a Gurkha to wipe shit off my shoes much less smoke 2 3
Islandboy Posted July 30, 2018 Posted July 30, 2018 Some fine investigative reporting has once again saved the day, exposing the Cuban cigar industry - or any brand that isn’t Gurkha, for that matter - for the evil and misleading cult that it is. I shall celebrate this revelation tonight by setting fire to a cigar of inferior and questionable origin. 3
Akela3rd Posted July 30, 2018 Posted July 30, 2018 Having never had a Gurkha cigar, and considering the price of the buggers and the tacky off-putting marketing I'm unlikely to either, can anyone succinctly explain why they are considered so bad? Or are they actually decent cigars with an imposed bad image in CC circles? Sent from my ActionMan walkie-talkie 2
joeypots Posted July 30, 2018 Posted July 30, 2018 May be if the makers of cigars other than Cuba say it enough it'll become true.

They just don't have the tobacco. 1

I shudder to think what one might mistakenly do in the process of “cleaning Ken’s porch.” If anyone ever removes the tags from Ken’s patio chairs, it’ll be a sad day indeed. 1

Well, I guess to each his own. American NC smokers believe all kinds of crazy wives' tales about CCs though.

Drew Estate shade grown Undercrown and Acid were among the staples. Blondies, Kuba Kuba. Now....idk I guess my tastes have changed. Can't do it anymore

Can't do it anymore I used to smoke all this stuff including the flavored CAOs. Then the training wheels came off. I transitioned about 10 years ago. So you can't buy 5 mixed CC singles at your local B&M. Find what you really like... Buy a box! Find friends to split boxes with. When I started comparing prices to some NCs, I'm like why wouldn't I buy CCs. I started with budget CC's... Diplomatico 2s, JL2s, Petit Edmundos, etc... I've never looked back. I have a friend at work who smokes with me. I bring the CCs. He gifts me NC's out of guilt and to show me how great these other cigars are. I occasionally smoke them and send him a pic. Can't make it beyond the 50% mark on anything. Tough to go back to hamburger helper after having filet mignon. 3
