What Lotus said, or maybe @PigFish will chime in on the whole concept? Hahahaha!

Joking aside, my favorites have been Montecristo. The 2010 and 2012 release. The most widely panned, from memory, were the Trini Short Robusto T’s. The last I bought were the 2015 RA Club Allones. They have been fine.

For my money I have enjoyed regional releases more, but again, this is based on personal taste.

Another good idea is to look back at all of Rob’s video reviews. Maybe it’s confirmation bias, but I find Rob’s and Ken’s reviews to be in line with my personal smoking experiences with the releases I’ve smoked.

Thank you all and sorry for not searching I was hoping to take a thread like the regional editions I saw a week or so one thread as a reference page :)

One has to concede - the forum search function is crap. Even if you know it must be there you always have a hard time tracking things down.

Here's a recent one for starters, covering the fails -. However, mostly from a marketing perspective, not meaning all poor cigars.

I imagine there are probably some good ones....

My personal take on the crap (and I mean overall quality, not subjective character):

2006 Cohiba Piramides

2006 / 2007 Ramon Allones Estupendos (RE not EL)

I'm sure there are members who might feel just the opposite, but that tells you about overall quality.

P.S. I'd agree that the IP board search engine is...... pretty bad....

I think Monte C might be the winner here. Never found anyone that thought it was good--except for @Ken Gargett of course who loved them. :D

Personally, I thought the 01 RyJ Robustos were total crap.

Others that I've never heard good things about are Cohiba DC and the Trini Short Robustos T.

I'll just name 3 of the ones I've smoked and really liked:
Partagas Serie D Especial 2010. Liked it and still have an unopened box.
Ramon Allones - Club Allones 2015. Loved it, still have an unopened box. Wish I bought more of them cause they start to run out from what I can tell. At least for a decent price.
Romeo y Julieta - Capuletos 2016. Loved it but not my size. I'll grab a couple of sticks if I'll see them again but I won't invest in a box. I just don't have time to smoke through cigars that size.

for me newly released ELs which appears to be crap may evalutionate to very good after sometime. Those RA Club Allones had a lot of ammonia and getting better nowadays and will be better later. Still have few boxes, just because I believed in its future because I love RA Extra EL2011 very much. I also love all EL2014 releases, Monte 2008, 2010, 2012 and some older ones. I usually put aside few boxes of every release to see how they will be later.

Iliked the MC Grand Edmundo EL '10. Most of them aren't for me.

The easiest way to search a site is to go into Google and, as an example, type site:friendsofhabanos.com "limited edition"

That will search only the site you've chosen.
