How are you finding it? Picked one up, haven't smoked it yet.

Flawless construction as you would expect, but taste-wise a bit of a departure from the classic Davidoff profile. It's quite dark and strong - lots of leather, earth, coffee and a touch of dark coco with a creamy mouthfeel.

I liked it. Not a daily smoke, but at the price point a nice 'change of pace' cigar.

Padron Sampler...

What budget? I don't need food next month....yes, I wore my 'cigar gang' colors.

I have always wanted to try Paul Garmairian cigars and never had a chance. Finally have a local retailer and picked up a small variety of their stuff. After trying a few they are pretty good.

Yes they are!

I had the Bellicoso size of the 20th anniversary line. It started off a bit slow but pick upped and was enjoyable. My favorite so far was actually the Lonsdale in the basic gourmet line. Somewhat subtle, but with a fresh palate had some nice flavors and aroma.

Thanks for reminding me. I've got a couple "boxes" of the Chisels that are now 2-3 years old.  Time to break one out this weekend. I've really enjoyed the ones I've smoked so far.

I’ve picked up a 10-count box of Dalias and a bundle of Trinity Robustos. The Dalias are too pretty to smoke. I’ll just look at those for a while longer. The Trinitys however, I don’t expect them to last very long. Such a great retro and aroma with these.

These two photos were taken mere inches from each other. 👊

That sounds weird.

Just picked up some El Septimo to try, I hadn’t heard on the brand before but a new shop I visited had some. They have a mixed reputation similar to Ghurka in some ways with people finding them overpriced. The El Septimo SA Michelangelo, Culinary Arts Toscano, and, Culinary Arts Nigori are what I picked up. The Toscano has some very good reviews which has me excited as it seems to be my type of NC.

Does Flor de las Antillas put the month and year on the boxes? Only brand I’ve seen do that is JC Newman.

Yes, stamped in red ink on the bottom of the box.

Illusione does this as well.

I like these a lot.

Same! Actually found one in my humidor recently from 2021. Never smoked these with any age so it’ll be an interesting experiment. I would think Ecuadorian Habano wrapper over top of Nicaraguan / Honduran leaf should age well.
