vinnyvega Posted March 6, 2015 Posted March 6, 2015 Am I the only one who missed the word 'cigar' in the title of this thread???
canadianbeaver Posted March 6, 2015 Posted March 6, 2015 No specific marca of cigar. More like one out of the cab that had to get chucked into the fire and replaced. The way it goes with handmade treasures.
spicycorona Posted March 6, 2015 Posted March 6, 2015 I've had three since Jan. 1. Monte PE, Monte 2, and a SCDLH El Principe. I rarely toss a cigar before the first third, but all of these were horrible. 2
Yagermeister Posted March 6, 2015 Posted March 6, 2015 SLR Regio, plugged solid. Pitched it before I got a headache. Was a shame because it was the last of a 2012 box that had really developed into something special recently. 1 out of 25 ain't bad though. On the positive side, had a 2013 Punch Punch last night that was very satisfying. And this was from a PE box. Can only imagine if I had sprung for HQ or PSP.
mgravito Posted March 6, 2015 Posted March 6, 2015 Monte 2 from Nov 13. Under filled. Squishy like a sponge. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
MrGTO Posted March 6, 2015 Posted March 6, 2015 I had a Party Short the other day that canoed so bad i had to touch it up with a little spit..... Took me back to the good ole days of touching up left handed cigars.
erjaq Posted March 6, 2015 Posted March 6, 2015 '07 Boli CE. Draw and construction were fine but it was like smoking air. Very disappointing.
santela Posted March 6, 2015 Posted March 6, 2015 RASS Soap, detergent, shampoo... Tossed it before I can finish the first third.
melies Posted March 6, 2015 Posted March 6, 2015 Cohiba Robusto Supremo EL 2014 Boy was it bad, Only had one worse cigar in my life, the R&J Belicoso, but this one gave it a run for it's money... maybe they are young, but that awful RG is the thing of nightmares.
JohnS Posted March 6, 2015 Posted March 6, 2015 RASS Soap, detergent, shampoo... Tossed it before I can finish the first third. No! I've heard nothing but good reviews on this forum about recent RASS offerings.
Rye Posted March 6, 2015 Posted March 6, 2015 VR Familiar that tarred up midway through the first third, and again shortly after recutting. Bitter, sour, and pitched. Bummed as they've been a great box. Had a Fundadores the other day that started great but went to crap halfway. That was a bummer too. I love those
DWC Posted March 6, 2015 Posted March 6, 2015 Monte 2 from Nov 13. Under filled. Squishy like a sponge. It was worse than that H.U. PC I gave you? That one should at least get unhonorable mention. Mine was a tossup between an RyJ PC and a Partagas Serie P No. 2 Both were barely worth smoking. Nothing terrible about them but just very lackluster.
mrsgucia Posted March 6, 2015 Posted March 6, 2015 Romeo y Julieta Exhibition No.4 box from last year 2nd cigar and still very dull
NweakO Posted March 6, 2015 Posted March 6, 2015 Ramon Allones Phoenicio 32. Disgusting! Tasted like celery.
dicko Posted March 6, 2015 Posted March 6, 2015 CORO. Had a big twisted bit of tobacco stem in it. How that can happen in a pricey cigar is beyond me. The roller must have seen it as it looked like a tree branch.
LordAnubis Posted March 6, 2015 Posted March 6, 2015 Monte Anejados. Just plain, boring, mild, just nothing going on. Ditched it at towards the end of the second third.
PapaDisco Posted March 6, 2015 Posted March 6, 2015 Behike 56 Damn that was a real loss. Was going to try pouring scotch on it, or maybe slathering it with chocolate frosting. Even pissing on it would have been an improvement! But taste-wise and burn-wise it was a total loser in the first third and just too nasty on the palate to even try to resurrect.
ThuringiaSmoker Posted March 6, 2015 Posted March 6, 2015 Fonseca Cosacos Last week.. Harsh, bitter, overall ugly
Surucipe Posted March 6, 2015 Posted March 6, 2015 The last one? Trini Reyes 3 weeks ago - about half way through the wrapper and binder just sort of disintegrated and the cigar looked like bullet after impact. Hey, can't win 'em all.
hebbe72 Posted March 6, 2015 Posted March 6, 2015 RA Belvederes last weekend. These are crackers when they are not plugged, but something must have gone wrong in the machine when these were made. About 50 % of the two boxes I have are plugged beyond belief.
Nico Posted March 6, 2015 Posted March 6, 2015 RA Belvederes last weekend. These are crackers when they are not plugged, but something must have gone wrong in the machine when these were made. About 50 % of the two boxes I have are plugged beyond belief. Had the same experience with these. Bought 10 and so far 8 have been plugged. It was rock solid when I squeezed it. I could barely penetrate the head with my home made cigar-unplug-tool thing. Good cigar tough if you are in jail and need to make a knife from something . Skickas via Tapatalk
