How is it that with the months and months of listening they came up with this: They arrested 15 (but now that's dropped to 6)... ...they are, and were, only after one individual who is the leader...who spoke about this a couple of days ago...(which means they had nothing until that phone call.... ...they arrested one dude with one prohibited weapon and ammunition.... This is not 9/11 territory and should never be confused as such... now back to my reading LOL. Points taken. I'd counter that it's definitely not 9-11 territory if nothing happens - but then, it's hard to explain to the general public that it could've been if nothing was done, when you also don't want everything released to the "other side" if it's a dynamic event / ongoing / etc. But it's all in flux. And with issues revolving national security (in any Commonwealth / G8 / "Western" country), I can tell you that the info is tightly regarded. All I'm saying is that on the surface it may look like overkill to some, for nothing gained. But 800 officers involved on it speaks of something much larger. And something's much larger can and will never be spoken to in public perhaps. Don't judge a book by it's cover with these kinds of things in the post-9-11 world. Granted, there's always times that some law-and-order fanatical agencies will definitely try to trounce on people's liberties. But there's tons of (civilian) oversight now, due to issues of the past decade, and parading around to places we shouldn't have been for the wrong reasons. I know it seems like I'm defending this one point, this one action. But what I'm saying is that the "overkill" is completely moot, if the whole op could likely be talked about. You wouldn't believe the info that's being spread within G8 security / intel agencies lately, and various things going on....to the lay-person / general public, just....be happy the media DOESN'T have access to everything. 1

(for anybody with conspiracy theories , it is in fact confirmed to be the ISIS Black Srandard on his shoulder) I'm not saying this person is a terrorist, but wearing that on American Soil,and especially Texas, during a time like this, is plain stupid and asking for trouble!!! 1

The fact remains that the ISIS logo was being worn by individuals, and it is stupid and asking for trouble.

He is also responsible for at least 30 of the 60 Ex-Australians fighting with terrorist groups. With his number one man with him Mohamad Elomar our most photographed convicted terrorist who loves a photo with a loose head. Both proud posters of al-Qaeda training manuals. Both arrested for advanced plans for attacks on Australia when in Australia. 800 police might be a little large for the job but it was a nice day in Australia for kicking a few doors down. 1

It doesn't really seem to add up but I'm glad they picked up these people with mental health issues...Oh yeah, were all hands on deck to send 600 troops out to take on the "jahadis" SMH

I have no problem with even 10,000 presently employed police officers arresting 1 person if it stops a murder. The actions the other day send a message both to the criminals and makes me more comfortable that they have these people under constant surveillance. That reason is because the western world has an inherent nature of putting their resources into the business of other countries/people. Terrible things happen, instead of falling back and defending the home soil, we go out and arm a side. Somalia-Ethipoia, Bin Laden, Hussein, Mubarak, ISIS are all grown from ourselves. There's a rumour going around Russia (and it's coming to fruition as we speak) that the western worlds action to combat ISIS will be to create ISIS 2, and so on and so on. We humans are a very stupid race. We never learn from our actions, or from our fallen. In the end though, it's all a means to an end. Your people want you out of a war zone, but you want to be in it. It's profitable to be at war and supply both sides with the resources to fight. So you make the circumstances appear as though your countries safety is being threatened, and all the people will follow you into battle themselves. Like natives to their respective countries, communists, and now muslims... there is always an enemy. It's the decent human beings on both sides that have to live on a daily basis with the result of greed and a thirst for blood from the few we call "leaders". 6
