Mr.T Posted July 3, 2012 Posted July 3, 2012 I had another HdM DC from 2007 last night and they have been awesome. Construction and burn have been perfect on these. And I pick very nice notes of wood, leather, spice, honey and vanilla. I think five years have been good to these. I've got a few left and I won't waste anytime smoking these
CaptainQuintero Posted July 3, 2012 Posted July 3, 2012 A toss up between a PL Robusto AP RE and a QDO Panetela. The PL was sweet and toasty and fantastic complexity (dark brooding second half!) and the QDO was sweet rich custard which developed into egg custard
LGC Posted July 3, 2012 Posted July 3, 2012 2002 RA Corona. I'll be nursing the cab for many years to come.
phoenix Posted July 3, 2012 Posted July 3, 2012 OCT 02 RyJ Cazadore. What a shocker. See my review for details Close 2nd? MAY 09 Trinidad Robusto T
CigarAsh Posted July 3, 2012 Posted July 3, 2012 A Cohiba Behike 52. First one I had was "meh", right off the truck. Second one was allowed to sit a few months before I smoked it. Was absolutely terrific smoke. A smoothness and complexity that I paired with an 18 year old Jameson. Was an hour or so of bliss. Close second is the Monte Grande Edmundo LE from 2010. Last one I had was pure dark chocolate goodness. The canonazo size was never a favorite, but it just seems to work well with this cigar. This is one I want to stock up on.
Vcool Posted July 3, 2012 Posted July 3, 2012 Had a VR Classico that I picked up in a Canadian box pass on another site that was great, and there was a PSD4 that blew my mind a couple weeks ago. MMMMM.....
cgarner Posted July 3, 2012 Posted July 3, 2012 Finally broke down and smoked one of Rob's custom Czar. Fantastic cigar.
canadianbeaver Posted July 3, 2012 Posted July 3, 2012 LGC M#2. But since you do not seem to have those, BHK2 I bought from you last year.
beamer Posted July 3, 2012 Posted July 3, 2012 Believe it or not, a Siglo IV from a recent LFTH that I wanted to check. Got the box a month or two ago. Forget the box date off the top of my head. Extremely young box, but the cigar was absolutely excellent. Buried the box in the back of the humidor, but will be hard to keep my hands off of it.
CanadianKodiak Posted July 3, 2012 Posted July 3, 2012 Bolivar PC from 2006. Fantastic cigar! Smoked it by the lake with a couple of buddies before embarking on some debauchery. Frikkin' awesome.
crazymancal Posted July 3, 2012 Posted July 3, 2012 Cohiba 1966 LE and Partagas 2008 serie D5 LE ........ both outstanding and really neck and neck if I had to score them but I give the 1966 the slim edge...... Cmc
aes8 Posted July 3, 2012 Posted July 3, 2012 That's certainly one of my candidates. But it was edged out by a 1998 Monte Especial No. 1. Which in turn was second only to a 1998 Punch Monarca AT. Were you at the So Cal Herf?
Cohiba Stevie Posted July 3, 2012 Posted July 3, 2012 Psd4 from the czars special... Spicy leather in spades. 92 easily
Lotusguy Posted July 3, 2012 Posted July 3, 2012 Cohiba 1966 LE and Partagas 2008 serie D5 LE ........ both outstanding and really neck and neck if I had to score them but I give the 1966 the slim edge...... Cmc Good to see you posting, Carl
chrismfontanot Posted July 3, 2012 Posted July 3, 2012 A Monte 5 from a 5 pack, purchased from czar.. Wish I knew the box code to get more
Ryan Posted July 3, 2012 Posted July 3, 2012 Smoked a bolivar tubos no 2 from 2002 last Saturday, so just made it. One of the best cigars of the year for me. Lots of bread off it but really really nice bread.
crazymancal Posted July 3, 2012 Posted July 3, 2012 Good to see you posting, Carl Thanks my friend !! I am kinda shy but this is a great group of people on FOH !! I have been smoking CC's for 16 years and learned a ton from this site and people. The warm weather and me dont agree and I havent smoked many gems since the temps went wacko around June 1 but finally hit the jackpot with the 1966 and D5 LE !!! Just awesome !! Cmc
mbrody Posted July 4, 2012 Posted July 4, 2012 early 08 Mag 46. Outstanding flavor throughout. Mongrel when young, now smooth and delicious.
markmurase Posted July 9, 2012 Posted July 9, 2012 An easy decision this month: Cohiba Gran Reserva. I looked forward to smoking this baby for a long time and was not disappointed. So many rich flavours on a foundation of typical Cohiba sweetness. 96 points. Magnificent
