Started the evening with a Hamlet from November. '97 Partagas SdC#3 between the starter (foie gras) and the main (Russian king crab) My traditional Monte A ('08) afterwards lasted well in to the new year. Starting 2015 with a '95 RyJ Churchill. May all our cigars be this good this year!2 points

Another season ahead, will it be better than the last? I'm certainly hoping there will be less politics involved but that's just wishful thinking! Perhaps I will post less on such issues moving forward and focus on racing aspects. Hope you are all enjoying your holidays and have a great 2015 year and Formula 1 season.1 point

Hello and thank you for membership. I live in Sweden, it's cold as hell right now, lucky I can smoke inside. It will be exciting to take advantage of all these skills here, I'm new to the area although I liked cigars in a few years. -G1 point

Looks like a good time, hermano! I love roasting in those boxes. I used one a lot when i lived in Louisiana. It's called a coonass microwave there. Great for cooking and spending time with friends and family.1 point

Gift baskets? Really? Goal camera had a perfect view of the fact that the puck went in off Lazar's mid-section and then his stick. The replays and review were extensive and the goal, although not pretty, was indeed a goal.1 point

New Years. Felt a little apprehensive this morning, slightly depressed even. Then finished reading The Farm and went for a nice walk in the woods with the kids. Now smoking a PL Picadores and everything 's allright again.1 point

I'm very happy for you man, having a nice boss. I've worked for so many mentally deranged psychopaths in my working life until I didn't think it was possible to have a SANE supervisor! I'm finally in that position where I work now, as a retiree and with a part-time job. Everyone there is super nice. Be continually blessed, brother!1 point

I often said that when I spawn I will try and buy a box of PSP Cohiba Esplindidos to lay down for the long haul. Shoot rob an email and see if next time he's in the warehouse hemail can find you something he thinks will reward you over the long term1 point

What I did was get a box of 25 that was born the same month as him. I smoke one every year close to his birthday and on his 18 I hope to share one with him. So far three years in and I'm doing great with this plan1 point

We were off to a house party in Delray Beach... at the last minute canceled to hang with our 17 and 20 year old boys. They also had parties and wanted instead to just have a family night. Nice!1 point

Congrats Jon! You can't go wrong with aged Cohiba's. Hopefully your son will like cigars! If not, you'll have a great box on your hands!1 point

.....leafs fan.... Though, I haven't honestly watched more than a 1/2 dozen NHL games, total, in the past few years since the lock-out. Think the game is just butchered nowadays. Can't beat, IMO, current Olympic and international play - I watch every game of those that I possibly can.1 point

My kids make their usual homage to see the family in Havana for Christmas break as soon as school gets out. I follow a few days later to bring them the gifts Santa has left. This year they ask me how come the other kids in Cuba never get presents from Santa. I said because Fidel is a bad dude. On Christmas eve he personally stands on top of the Partagas building and shoots at the reindeer so that Santa won't come in. I also told them if you notice that is why Prancer jumps around kinda funny, cause Fidel got him once in the leg. So Santa likes to bypass Cuba for Christmas and leaves all of the presents in St Michaels in Miami in hopes that they'll be down there for the 3 Kings Parade. John1 point

... if you don't mind me saying, there are a lot of the nation's military that would love a gift of some cigars! If you are going to change over and not smoke the NCs there is some guy/gal sitting in a sandlot somewhere with a rifle by his side and sand in his nostrils that would love a smoke! While I gave up on the Big Smoke long ago, I used to send all my cigars from that event to guys in Afghanistan. One of my friends daughters is a captain and he used to direct me where to send them. Cheers mate, enjoy those cigars! -Piggy1 point

Bought this single to try at LCDH Zürich. I asked proprietor Samuel Menzi his thoughts on the marca... "Medium bodied, not typical for a Ramon Allones". Fired this on up at the Christkindl Market inside the Zürich HB. To get in the spirit I paired it with a glass of Glouwein which is a heated, spicy, sweet, red wine beverage traditional to the Germanic regions. The marca had a nice firm tug on the draw so I was pleased that it would not be a wind tunnel. Good feel of weight in the hand. Fired it up and got pleasant flavors of wood, earth, leather, not overly complex, but not short on flavor. Samuels assessment is accurate as it is not a big cigar in strength, but I enjoyed it for the 70 minutes of smoke time. Burn was sharp, smoke was voluminous, second hand smoke was aromatic. All in all a good smoke. If I were to put a rating on it after just having 1, I would say 92 pts. I am off to St. Moritz for the weekend and plan on trying another to see if it warrants a multi box purchase.1 point
