Thanks to @Islandboy I was fortunate to enjoy an LGC Inmenso (ULA Nov 2014) with @cigarnv (who had one from the same factory and year) and @yadegari6.  (Sadly Alex was under the weather though he kindly joined for the conversation, as did another friend with another LGC.)  

The Inmenso is at the outer reaches of RG preferences for me (could barely get my cutter across; though Hamlet says only Americans use cutters ) That said, I think the pictures may say more a thousand words...

Test driving a new V-Cutter and lighter on an Upmann Connoisseur B. The A is one of my all-time faves, the 1 is one of my workhorse Robustos. High hopes!

About a 90-minute smoke and I was smoking a little quickly. Vanilla sponge, hint of sweetness then more of a savoury bread profile from 2nd third. Lashings of Cuban twang on retrohale and a touch of salt. Superb construction and didn’t have to touch up even once. Felt less complex than the A.

Bolivar Belicoso Fino. All-time classic Cuban beloved by aficionados and affectionately known as the BBF. Bellows of smoke. Starts spice and deep sweet cocoa over earth and Cuban twang, as it develops an amazing stout bitter or even Guinness cuts across it. Amazing cigar 10/10.

I had two Monty no 2 two days in a row, one was oily light wrapper and the other was dark almost sand paper wrapper. Both from ‘21 boxes. The light wrapper was less intense in flavor but good. 2 years ago I hated the dark wrapper but now it’s coming to life, concentrated flavors of milk chocolate and cocoa. Hope the rest are this good.

Today's smoke was Juan Lopez and it was very good (similar to to the flavor profile of JL#2) can’t wait to see how it progress in the next 5 years.

Yup, excellent blend. Granted, I hadn’t been too fond of the format when they first came out - meanwhile... I’m a fan! And they appear to be consistent to boot. While pricey, they deliver time and time again. 👍
