GEL JUL 20 Monte 1. Dry boxed this for a few days and it’s the best Monte I’ve had in awhile. The light wrapper is bringing tons of twang, nuts and biscuit. I’m wondering if Montecristo benefits from dry boxing most of the marcas?

A great location, Brasserie Latem, a Michelin starred Restaurant, the owner/chef himself a cigar smoker, ca. 30 Aficionados, superb Tapas dinner, 3 cigars and I was named "Honorary Extra Muros Member" of the Club. 

Excellent hospitality by all, very generous and a great atmosphere. Good conversations and exchanges. Lovely evening !

Certainly not my last cigar dinner with Aroma De Cuba.

Yer pic makes me want to grab a box of Connie A @Nino 🤣! I recommended Connie A to Korean FOH BOTLs and they really enjoyed that CC so much 😃. Besides, Korean FOH BOTLs told me even non smokers and huge NC Davidoff fan were also impressed with the flavour profile of Connie A and they really wanted to grab'em even more 😆.

100% agree with you! Dark wrappers on HdM's seem to bring out a very different and extremely impressive flavor profile. Other than HdM I try to avoid too dark of wrappers!

As a stout beer fan, I really want to try Imperial Stout so badly @Sir Diggamus 🤣! Is Double Edmundo performs well nowadays? I noticed that Double Edmundo gets love on FOH recently.

It’s VERY good Kim! I find the Double Edmundo to have “darker” notes than most other Montes, at least the ones I have tried. They have dark chocolate and roasted malt notes. It’s from 2015.

I agree to.
I love all of the Epicure line and always have some on hand.
Darker wrappers seem to appear quite often on them

Love the Coloniales.
Its one of the very few smokes that I keep more than just 2 or 3 of on hand

Yes, they are my current favorite Trinidad and one of my all-time favorites as well.

Fundies & Esmeralda are excellent. I'd say Topez & Vigia are close in flavor/enjoyment as a close second. for me.

Haven't been able to try the Fundadores or esmareldas yet. No one sells them as singles so I will have to try through a trade or private sale
Haven't tried the topes for the same reason.
Wasn't impressed enough by the vigia to justify the high price for me.
Do have my first Media Luna set for next month though

Very tasty and very good burn, draw and construction.

All around good smoke.

'15 Partagas Aristocrats

Still very flaverful after 6 years.

Very tasty and great burn,draw and construction.

Sadly my regular vendors no longer carry them as singles.

Will have to get a box once i get my coolerdor up and running. They are pretty inexpensive.

'16 Partagas Presidentes

My first of these

Extremely tasty. Started out a medium strength, but picked up to close to full in the second half.

Excellent draw, burn and construction too

Will definitely have to get more

Mdo4 (probably TUA Feb/mar 21) after a rough week at work. Finishing up things before I move on to new employment. Perfect draw and burn, very enjoyable flavour. Considering another box!

They are extremely difficult to track down as singles. Bought mine through a private sale on another forum that is great for finding hard to get singles

Today I felt like a blind chicken who found a grain of sweet corn.

A package of CR sticks arrived at my door containing some fine farm rolled cigars from “La Meca del Tabaco” in Vuelta Abajo – don’t ask me how they made the trip, I will not reply …. 🙂

I could not resist and smoked the Lancero right away like a thirsty man in a dry desert.

After over a year of smoking regular production it was ( no arrogance intended in the analogy ) like going from McD Burgers to an Adrian Ferra Michelin starred dinner menu…. And then some !

Ninety minutes of pure bliss, aromas, flavours, taste, burn, construction, I nubbed it.

Lord – how I missed these cigars !

I've never had them before, so cannot say anything about older rolls. However I would say that the 2021 production, in my humble newbie opinion, is that they are good but will probably only get better with age.. And this is exactly why I should get another box, because I may not be able to leave this single box I have untouched
