FOH'ers Daily Smoke

PsD4 PUR JUN 16- sheen on this thing is absolutely outrageous. This has been a box I have layed off of for the last year as I was simply smoking through all of them, every single one of this box has been an absolute cracker and exactly what good D4s should be about, spiced cream in spades. Today’s cigar was beautifully constructed, tightly packed but drew and burnt perfectly. It was a fantastic cigar but perhaps not as flavourful as the ones I smoked a year ago. Still a 92 pointer which has been the lowest score of the box... which is saying something. 
 

BBF 2015- i smoke a lot of BBF but this is actually the first i recall Smoking from a dress box as opposed to the Cab. This cigar was laiden with that classic creamy ‘guiness’ that BBF is known for, there was also a light ceded detectable on the finish. I very much enjoyed this cigar however there was a clear difference in body and complexity in comparison to an aged BBF from a cab. This was much more light in flavour in comparison and did not have any flavours of earth nuts and expresso I often get out of BBF from a SLB. The aroma was also not as pungent. Nevertheless a very enjoyable smoke. 92 points.

LTB AGO 13. Lots of cedar, raw almond, golden raisins, leather, and woody hints of a stiff chardonnay. Fantastic.

UGO OCT 18. ROTT. packed w 69 Boveda that still had some life. Pouring down rain. Never had one before. Had the time. I mean it was wet outside. The cigar was wet. Seemed perfect. Will be interesting to see how the one I put in dry box does but this one is good to go. 
Cold draw was firm but steady. Actually much easier than the principe from last night. 
only a half inch in but a flavorful stick w some evolving flavors. A touch of pepper. Then some dark chocolate or mocha. Not an overpowering flavor for sure but developing nicely. Frankly very pleasantly surprised so far. 
it pays off to watch what people smoke and try a few new things now and again. With my limited sample of three PE and one partial Edmundo, the Edmundos May have it. When I’m half done w both boxes I will revisit.

Back in Calgary after a vacation in Kelowna. First order of business is an uninterrupted, guilt-free, and relaxed 2017 Cohiba Siglo 3 on my patio... As I type this, I am motivated to smoke another.

Just an outstanding Connie A MEG FEB 16. This cab has gone from very good to excellent as near the end of the box. Rich, creamy, tons of shortbread, burning perfectly with volumes of smoke. I wish all CC would smoke like this one.

MEL JUL 2008 Cohiba Lancero

Just bought a house today (great time to make big financial commitments given all the certainty in the world these days)....so figured I’d bust one out. 

I have very few boxes I really hold dear, but this is special box of cigars for me. Not only are they very good smokes but I bought this box for my father in law right before he got sick and needed to stop smoking. CoLa’s were his favorite cigar and he was the one who introduced me to good cigars. I have 22 left after this, every one is smoked for him.
