Fundy, ARS JUL 19. This has absolutely no business smoking so well at its young age. Sooo rich, and no harshness. Seriously complex, with all kinds of spice notes (fennel, cinnamon, north African pastries) floating in and out of the sweet core flavours. Medium bodied. This one had quite a big split in the wrapper, which I fixed a while ago with PerfecRepair - and it smoked perfectly, not a single problem or touch up. Five star cigar and another excellent Trini.

@MigsG gifted me this wonderful HDM Epicure No 2 that was enjoyed on the road.  Thank you for this fine stick, bud. 

After finishing the daily duties, met up with @Bram Smoker for a proper evening long herf and enjoyed great conversation and some fine Cuban offerings before they shut us down.   Thanks for sharing your night and some of your stash with me.

ABO May 19 Exhibition 4, from a box split with @slowsmoke. Besides perfect construction, it’s a really good cigar. Creamy barnyard cedar, cherry, and a touch of vanilla, with some backbone to it.  Impressively nice for such a young stick. 

 

Edit: That perfect burn went right to the nub without a single touch up.

QdO 54, ASR FEB 54. Pretty good, but a little bland. Wonderful looking wrapper and good construction. Fairly rich, mild body. Toasted cake bread and a grind of coffee. Nothing like the complexity of last night’s even younger Fundy, and zero development. TBH I’m bored before halfway, and the girth is bothersome.

Grabbed this DIC16 off the Auctions back in DIC19.  Been resting since mid ENE & this one is solid.  I bet it only improves with more rest from its travels.

One of my faves along with Coro. Can't be beat once these have 4 or 5 years on them. However, I have not smoked anything from 2014 or younger. Can you let us know how you like this stick ?

I'm with you on the fatter cigars. I don't know if they are putting much if any ligero in them. I smoked a Hoyo de San Juan today. It was the little engine that couldn't... Just saying..

These usually turn wonderful, but unfortunately take 4 or 5 years. Like they say, smoke one every few months or so and when they are on, smoke e'm !!

C&C time now with an ‘18 Siglo II, this one tastes of leather and hay with a touch of lemon.

 

Fantastic ‘18 RyJ Petit Corona, my last from a fiver, caused me to pick up a box last night.  Probably the most full flavored RyJ I’ve ever had, woodier than most, baking spices like cinnamon, and medium sweet fruit.

Checking in on the Capuletos. So far, I’ve most enjoyed the full flavored mongrel version within 6 months of getting them. They seem to have been in a funk since. This one is finally showing some good signs of evolutionary flavors, but it’s obviously going to be a much smoother version of its younger self.
