Popular Post RDB Posted February 11, 2020 Popular Post Posted February 11, 2020 M2 from SMA NOV 18. Mild, slightly sweetened cocoa, touch of cream. Detuned Monte. Not a box for the long haul I think, but a nice easy smoke. 19

I had to try a 2019...couldn't tell much difference from the earlier years. They've all been pretty good, but I think when the vigia is on it is better, for me. Can't wait to try the Esmeralda and other new vitolas. 1
Popular Post dcbuss Posted February 12, 2020 Popular Post Posted February 12, 2020 (edited) Didn’t plan on shooting this out...but BOP may 19 Monte 4 from October’s 24:24...the first one is smoking like a delectable chocolate lovers dream. * I’m very new to this Cuban, and more specifically FOH ‘hobby’...buuuuuut to anyone new like me, and who averages 2 box purchases a month( aka: price shops) throughout the year. The extra coin for me, since my first FOH purchase is well worth it. Edited February 12, 2020 by dcbuss 19

Popular Post Chucko8 Posted February 12, 2020 Popular Post Posted February 12, 2020 C&C with a Petit Royales. This was gifted to me by @Derboesekoenig which I’m truly grateful. I had never tried this prior and had to actually look up what it was named. I found it to have milky mocha and cherry profile and was quite enjoyable. I was pleasantly surprised and would happily smoke one again. C&C with 2014 PLPC picked up on FOH auction and generously gifted to me by @KavalanWhisky. After having a 2017 PLPC a few days earlier I was able to differentiate the ageing process. There is a substantial difference on the smoother creamier aspect with the 14 and the caramel notes were enhanced greatly. I also picked up more of a biscuit/ graham cracker note in behind which was delicious. I noted that there was quite a difference on the wrapper between the 2 also. The 17 had a darker wrapper where as the 14 was lighter and not as rough. I have prior had similar experiences with PLMC’s where I have preferred the lighter wrapper over the darker and find the sweeter characters come through more on the lighter wrappers. IMHO I will gravitate more towards the light on the PL’s of these formats. 21

Glad you enjoyed! The RyJ PCs are often overlooked. 1

Popular Post JohnS Posted February 12, 2020 Popular Post Posted February 12, 2020 Cohiba Secretos (circa 2008) I'd like to thank @Trevor2118 for this 2008 Cohiba Secretos as this Maduro 5 Reyes still packed a punch of flavour even though it was over 10 years aged. Like my previous aged Secretos around six months ago, its intensity has rescinded with age, so it's now a nice medium-strengthed smoke. The chocolate and coffee still dominate, with some Cohiba grass/hay in its spine and some nice floral notes on the edges. The difference in this Secretos compared to my last one six months ago was the hint of oak in its spine. It certainly made for a fine smoking experience on a warm summer's day, there was no hesitation in nubbing it! 20

Also, what about Topes and Media Luna? 나의 SM-N950N 의 Tapatalk에서 보냄 Tastes great! This may be my new favorite cigar. This is the 4th one I have smoked, and this is the first one from the box that I thought might have benefited from a little more rest, but still excellent. I haven’t tried the new Topes or Media Luna yet, but I suspect I will love them as well. I like the Topes EL, but not as much as I think I will like the new Topes. The difference being the wrapper, and the different flavor that the EL wrappers usually impart on the cigars. The reason I love these Esmeraldas, is because they are Trinidad through and through, and I think that will most likely apply to the other 2 new vitolas as well. I really like La Trovas as well, but again, I feel like the blend is different than the regular production Trinidads. In the La Trova and the Topes EL, I feel like I have to search for the Trinidad flavors, while with these, it is right there, in your face from the first puff. 5

Popular Post RDB Posted February 12, 2020 Popular Post Posted February 12, 2020 RyJ Churchill ESL MAY 18. From a nice looking HQ box. Starts very mild and sweet, typical rosewater and Middle Eastern spices. Builds slightly but never more than medium. Big guy but a gentle smoke. Bookish. 26
Popular Post lovethehaze Posted February 12, 2020 Popular Post Posted February 12, 2020 SRO JUL 17 JL1. Twang, earth & coffee so far. Construction almost flawless; always underrated. I would say right at medium and getting slightly more maybe medium plus. These r ⭐️‘s. 23
