Popular Post LLC Posted September 2, 2019 Popular Post Posted September 2, 2019 OLE MAY 15 Monty 3. Don’t have these often but this was one of the better ones from box. Enjoyed it during a great win by Charles Leclerc of Ferrari isn’t the F1 race. RAE JUN 15 Party Short. This box is a little older than the ones I normally grab. Age is definite making it more enjoyable. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 23

Popular Post TTP21 Posted September 2, 2019 Popular Post Posted September 2, 2019 PLPC 2018. Ballsy when young. Starting to think I prefer the MC over the PC. Weather is perfect for watching the game on the projector outside. Thank goodness we weren't swept by the stinking Mets! 19
Popular Post jtfrizzy Posted September 2, 2019 Popular Post Posted September 2, 2019 Three nights in a row with H. Upmann, (all around the same age 4-5 years old) and i must say the Sir Winstons Friday night was really good as was the Magnum 50 last night, but this Connie A (LUB MAR 14 I believe, but I could be wrong about the factory code) is fanatastic. Pairing it with a couple fingers of Glenmorangie 18 year Scotch. Either way, Happy Labor Day to all you in the states and everyone else have a wonderful week. Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk 20

Popular Post Islandboy Posted September 2, 2019 Popular Post Posted September 2, 2019 Seems to be a popular choice this evening. Last one from what’s been a super solid box - MEG Feb 17. Glad I have UBM Jun 17 locked and loaded right behind it. They’re just too good to keep down for long. Edit: I pair a cigar with wine very occasionally, as I’m not very savvy with the latter, but I’m always on the lookout for a compatible duo. This is the most memorable yet, so worth a shout out: Jose de Souza 2016 Alentejano. A very mellow red with rich berry flavors, and some nice vanilla and chocolate on the finish. Plays nicely with the butter-cream, caramel and baking spices of the cigar. ? 21

Popular Post RDB Posted September 2, 2019 Popular Post Posted September 2, 2019 Picadores UER NOV 17. Good quality cigar. Rather like a Partagas in some ways: a rich vegetal sweetness, a touch of paprika like spice, and just over medium bodied. Less pastry sweet though, more like bell-pepper or sweet peas. I certainly wouldn’t describe this as having caramel flavour, but it clearly has years of development ahead of it. Wrapper was still oily and burn a little uneven. 19
Popular Post Grateful13 Posted September 2, 2019 Popular Post Posted September 2, 2019 Fresh Maltes. Surprisingly mild and kind of bland. 18

Yep, Would have to agree, Picadores are something unto themselves. Which is something to celebrate. A bit like how I find Boli No1's, they are one of those blends that are trapped at some place between light and dark. a juxtaposition of flavours. I do think they'll get the chop at some point not too far off, and it's yet again reason for HSA to have a more informative blurb about any given cigar on the inner leaf. i.e. "Picadores are intended to be a lighter, more vegetal expression of the classic Por Larranaga blend" it would be so helpful to smokers getting in to CC's. 1
Popular Post JohnS Posted September 2, 2019 Popular Post Posted September 2, 2019 Montecristo No.4 UEB May 2018 Thanks to Cuban Cigar Website's excellent Smoking Diary Feature and my 2019 Smoking Blog, subjective considerations in regards to timing and cigars can be now easily quantified. Let me explain...this box has been stellar thus far and after checking my Smoking Diary today I could easily see that I smoked two within a week and once a month on average thereafter. I can happily report that 6 of the 7 I've smoked to this point have been absolutely stunning, with one sub-average. The superb quality of this box has been exemplified by their distinctive softer nut and citrus flavours rather than stronger cocoa, coffee and cream flavours, although the latter flavours were still evident here. This cigar was much stronger in that nut and 'citrus on the edges' profile, which for me, is a pure delight when it comes to Montecristo. Let's see how the next one pans out next month! 23

Popular Post HumidorJuan Posted September 2, 2019 Popular Post Posted September 2, 2019 I grabbed that 2-4-1 ERDM Demi tasse on the 2424 so now I gotta make some room First time trying an 898. It’s good! Paprika, cedar and white pepper. Middle part had whole wheat sourdough bread in the background. Reinforces my whole thing on Partagas being a great pairing with a steak dinner or some other red meat. 22
