BUP SEP 17 Lusi. Second from this box of ten and after my last box of ten from the same code was hit or miss from a construction standpoint, these two have been much better.
Enjoyed while watching college football.

Starting off my two days off (first time I've had two days off in a row since Janauary) with this '15 H. Upmann Magnum 50 paired with a Great Lakes Oktoberfest beer. This time of year is the best. Humidity is finally down, temperature is comfortable, football is starting, the kids finally go back to school, etc etc. This time of year is also my favorite time to smoke cigars. Anyways, hope you all have a wonderful weekend!

Used @El Presidente‘s Refrigerator Dry Box method as the Temp / Humidity combo here in Chicago’ Summer tends to over-humidify my sticks.

Cohiba Espléndidos PLM Oct 2006

Thank you @Trevor2118 for gifting me this incredible cigar! This cigar comes from late 2006, and at 12 years of age, it didn't lack in any way in terms of flavour.
 
It was a touch over mild in strength, which is where I'd like it to be for its age. Some very typical Esplendidos flavours, consistent with the Cohiba Clasica line, such as milk coffee or mocha, butter, honey and vanilla. There was no real spice nor Cohiba grass/hay, which you can get in these Clasica line cigars at times, but which I find more consistent in the Siglo line. It goes without saying that I nubbed it as far as the safety of my fingers allowed me to!

If you are a Cohiba fan, then this is the type of cigar that would appeal to your senses, especially when it smokes like this one did!

2015 E2 ... sometimes these are magnificent. This one is very good but falls short of ethereal.

2016 BRC...I smoked a 2009 Boli EL yesterday and it was all barnyard, kinda like I remember bolivars from the 1990s. The younger Bolivars seem to have less rusticity for me...more vanilla sweetness. Anybody else feel this way?
