The one good thing about not smoking for a while, is almost every cuban I have has almost 90 days acclimatized. It does make a difference. This punch punch is great!

I’ve been enjoying large cigars during the World Series and tonight was no different. 

BUP SEP 17 Lusi. This in my 7th from a box of 10 and was the best one so far. I hope the rest of this box and the other boxes with the same code are this good.

Por Larranaga Picadores UER NOV 17. What a handsome cigar: super construction and a lovely wrapper. Tight draw meant this was a little bit hard work, but the flavours were excellent. A sort of sweet vegetal character, like roasted peppers perhaps, with some lovely woodsmoke too. Medium bodied plus, and burned well despite being tight. This got markedly stronger after the first half, then the ammonia started to come through, and I left off soon after that. But I’m confident these will age nicely. There’s plenty in the tank and the quality is very good.

These Monte tubos are really tasty. Cream, nut, some caramel and age smooth tobacco. And a little bit of strength too.
