Def. lots of potential . Funny you bring this up, just last night , I scored a box of the La Gloria Cubana u gifted me. Really loved it, so came across a great box and snagged them. Thanks for this one!Had this by the fire on a Scout camp last night. Beautiful stick, toast and nuts all the way through with a nice creamy feel. Quite light in strength but full of flavour and interest from start to finish. Another great stick from the box that's travelling the length and breadth of the country and is on the move again. Nice start to the weekend. Have been enjoying a great box of RAG’s from 2015. With five left I’ve moved them to the long term humidor to slowly enjoy over years to come. Opened up a box of ABO JUL 17 RAG’s that look outstanding. Enjoying one now as I finished up watching LA vs. Milwaukee and now getting set for Houston vs. Boston. Still, coming around nicely, although another year or 2 is needed to cure out more of those nasty tannins. It had a seemingly perfect blend of honey sweetness combined with a strong cocoa and floral base, together with a hint of baking spice. I wish all my Rafael Gonzalez Petit Coronas were like this! 2. Ramón Allones Allones Superiores 2010 - LCDH Exclusivo 2010 ULA Sep 2014 This has just hit 4 years of age, and for me, it's progressing nicely. Everything about this smoke was subtle. The cocoa was like a fine dusting, the typical 'stewed fruit' Ramon Allones profile was light, the evidence for an aged cigar was there in the hints of baking spice and there was even a little wood! At times all simultanuously. Had high hopes for this 1998 SS#1, unfortunately the first half was less than decent. Is offensive cardboard an official flavor? It did turn on a dime though and I'm glad I stuck with it. Second half showed glimpses of complex greatness, almost worth me puffing on it for 45 minutes to get there.Then tried the new Tat Monster. Actually not bad at all, I expected pepper to the face but not much on front, some balanced on the retro. Fantastic construction, might've picked up a few more if it wasn't for the price.
