An RE Friday with @Nate Chu C&C for a Saturday morning with this Sir Winston from 03. Today is going to be great if this cigar is anything to judge it by. What a super smooth star

First cigar of the year.

‘01 H. Upmann Super Coronas - 5 5/8 X 46 - smores right off the light. Retro is pure sumptuous graham cracker. The vitola that started my love affair with Upmann.

You know that a man has been smoking Cuban cigars for a while when he breaks out an el Dente.

Thanks! 🙂 Early on, I used to smoke the solid red band Te-Amo cigars a lot because almost everything else I could get to smoke literally had no taste. Perhaps that is what formed my desire for spicy, earthy cigars.

I’ve searched for the Rosado you’ve recommended, but it appears the US availability is pretty non-existent. I’ll keep searching as I enjoy that vitola…thanks for the head’s up!

I feel that struggle with US availability. I’m lucky to have family in Mexico City. That’s the only way for me to get the Rosado Gorditos 4x60.

Vegas Robaina Classicos, OSU FEB 00.  Snug roll, ample fragrant smoke.  Slow burn, only a couple touch-ups, solid medium body/strength with cocoa undertones.  Epic VR, love this size!

I kicked myself for a while for not picking up a couple more boxes.

I’m trying to decide if this cigar is worth $87.

It’s good, just not sure if I’m going to buy more of them before I leave.

Which one, the Forbidden or D4, or both?

It's always interesting the perspective. I think $87 cheap for a cigar as an Aussie.
